Yes and I was supporting you.
Cool misread my mistake
Yes and I was supporting you.
...Yep, Quinn making the most of Jaylon. Somehow gets him in right spot. Just dont put him to guard against the run. Cant get off his blocks.
People thought he would be almost as good as Fredbeard because they went to the same school. He needs size and strength. I would keep looking for O-Line players in the draft.
This should be the starting 5...
T. Smith
C. McGovern
M. Farniok
Z. Martin
T. Steele
the issue with McGovern at center in TC was he was erratic with shotgun snaps.
Check out rookie Matt Farniok #68 playing at Center all game long during our last Preseason game vs the Jaguars. Remember, the Jaguars started their starters and played them the whole 1st Half and into the 3rd Quarter, so that gives one a decent assessment of how well Farniok performed against another team's starters.very interesting at center ( Farnick )?....was thinking training Connor Williams center and McGovern LG?...but what do i know....was wrong about Steele...but what happened to Dak twice..once Philly took ball for instant TD and once Dak not good enough camera angle to see him push ball over imaginary plane....but regardless it was the center who was weak link in both
He gets pushed back in passing but is strong at run blocking. That makes me wonder if it’s technique.Freddy was engineer at Wisconsin----smart man----did not take him long to learn technique....he did not test high scouting combine...so slow in 40 and only 21 at bench...shows you technique far better
than physical traits....he was close to if not top center as rookie in 2013...badass looked the part and even awarded college's top center one year before injury....we wish now i bet we took cezar ruiz
It was one, which I acknowledged.
I don't like him either, but he isnt the disaster he was last year and I speculate that may be due to coaching.
Sometimes I try to figure out what he MIGHT have been thinking and cant.He didn’t look terrible, save for that one huge run which was ALL HIS FAULT. But it’s also important to consider that neither he nor the Cowboys run defense was tested either. The Eagles running backs got a total of three carries. One of which went for 20+ yards.
Hiking in practice is one thing, do you want to have flashbacks of Gurode early in his career hiking over Tony's headyep...but is not working how one hikes ball in shotgun far easier to overcome than badaiz lack of technique and strength?...i wouild think?...but what do i know...was wrong about Steele
Of course. However, facing the top DT combo in the NFL is a huge factor.Agreed.
But my point to the op was his comment that a 23 year old with 1 full offseason in the NFL has peaked in strength is an innacurate Statment
McGovern doesn’t do well at LG. The coaches and JJ have both mentioned he’s not comfortable there. He’s an RG.This should be the starting 5...

So what, they had 4 more days to scout the Cowboys. Our 6 days is plenty of time to prepare for this game. We gain a day of pre-time by hosting the game. And our 12th man will show up again to cheer on our 'Boys.man cant we get an easy game?....i watched all 3 games Carolina played on gamepass condensed version...no one runs against that front and they rush the passer with great vigor and success
i am hoping both our OC and DC put together a scheme like no other....just worried about panthers 10-day rest verses our only 6 days....2 of the teams Carolina faced stayed with them until
like middle of 3rd quarter and were wore out....i just hope i was watching super inferior teams play Carolina ...just dont feel good about this one
I think we traded up to get him, so we gave up two late picks to get him. But yeah, we are getting a decent return on investment.Getting him as a 4th round comp pick (so basically the 5th round) was great value.
If he was just a life-long backup it would be great value that late.
Few players ever were or ever will be Freddy. He was the ideal center.
Short rest is a real thing, no matter what anyone says to the contrary.man cant we get an easy game?....i watched all 3 games Carolina played on gamepass condensed version...no one runs against that front and they rush the passer with great vigor and success

Guys can always get stronger. Not sure what you exactly mean by Biadasz has reached his limit in strength.I'll leave out most of the obvious and/or things that have been said often. Credit to the many unmentioned players who really showed up to play.
-Biadasz: I'm not ready to give up on him. His run blocking is more than acceptable. We ran all over them all night and he was right in the middle of that many times. He does seem to get pushed backwards in pass protection more than you'd like. He has been around long enough to have maxed out strength wise, so thats a bit of a concern, but I wouldn't go advocating for Farinok just yet, and I doubt the team is considering that at this point.
-Overall depth: The Garrett era felt like we had a top heavy roster. Some stars, names, etc.....but when one starter would go down the drop-off would be quite noticeable, and the opposition seemed to inevitably exploit that and it would cost us. Now when guys like Collins/Wilson/Armstrong go down, we have others to come in and offer up a similar performance.
-Speaking of Steele: He just looks different. Last year he looked like your average fat man....like an extra in a football movie. Now he looks the part of an NFL tackle and is backing it up on the field. If I'm Collins, I'm nervous.
-JSmith: One play aside, he really did play pretty well. The spy role is probably where he is best used at this point, and the coaches are doing an excellent job of putting people in the right places to get the most out of them....something that was missing here for a very long while.
