I just can't understand all the hate. If he truly hasn't failed a test since July 2016... if he has completed rehab... if he has patiently waited until he was 100% ready to apply for reinstatement, then why wouldn't everyone be cheering for him to succeed. Even if you're not doing it as a decent human being who wants the best for a fellow man, you should do it as a dirty, selfish, Cowboy-focused fan who remembers what an elite player this guy was. In case you forgot:

And by the way, he's only 25 YEARS OLD!! He's only 1 year older than Hayden Hurst and 2 years older than Calvin Ridley. He has plenty of football left. There's good reason to be excited about this.

Exactly, and, like I said, the United States is a land of second chances. I'd love to see him make the most of his second chance if he gets reinstated.

I guess the gamble Gregory made with himself worked out ok. He made it this far after he could have applied for reinstatement and didn't get popped for a bad test. Who would have thought that possible?

Looks like we'll get a chance to find out if Goodell still hates the Cowboys or if he does right by Gregory and lets him back in. I'd really like to see him at OTA's next month.
I agree and out of all the players he is needed most at OTAs and mini camp. Get his physical and mental side back into pro football before training camp

We don’t know he hasn’t gotten popped for a bad test. I think it is most likely he has not been clean and that is why he is still waiting to file instead of already being reinstated.
That's B.S, Gregory hasnt failed a drug test in almost 2 years. If it took him a couple more months to prove to himself he has moved on and ready to play football so be it. The last thing he needed to do was reapply as soon as he could and have a slip up and he would never get another chance. So what he waited a few extra months, has nothing to do with him thinking he got popped for a failed test

Exactly, and, as I recall, the reason he was still suspended last year was because he was still at the rehab center and couldn't get to the testing center. It was a total BS suspension, but since when does Goodell ever treat us fairly?

Personally, I just wish that the NFL would take pot off the testing list. There are states legalizing it, and, while I've never used it, I am of the opinion that it's far better than narcotics and other pain meds that the players take after playing.

First off it's not legal in all states where there are NFL teams, in fact most NFL team states it's still illegal so you can't drop the testing when most states it's illegal. Second, studies have shown that weed destroys brain cells and couple that with the head trauma players get from the hits I'm thinking that's not such a good combination to have and it's just a guess on my part but that could be a reason the NFL still tests for weed.

Right most of his failed test were because he missed them. In the NFL they count that as failed. It got the short end of the stick but now that it's over I think he really improved himself as a man first and now he can improve as a player. I'm for one proud of him, he could have easily said forget this and do what he wanted. Instead he took the B.S punishment and got right on every level

No he was originally suspended and then while on suspension he failed a drug test so it was extended.

whether it's illegal in certain states should have no bearing on whether the NFL tests for it. If players in states where it's illegal want to risk it, that's a whole different ball of wax they'd have to deal with. As it should be.

Will believe Randy Gregory is reinstated and ready to play football if/when he’s on the 53-man roster in September.

Hoping for the best, but RG’s been a tease since Jerry drafted him.

Time will tell..

I didn't say all states lol. I just said that there are states legalizing it. Heck, Colorado and Washington State have it still legalized. But, the point is, I kinda wish they'd take it off.

Yes, you are right. I hacked into the testing facilities computers and checked the drug test records. I have confirmed Gregory has been clean for 2 years. He has passed 163 tests in a row. Let me know if you need the dates, times, locations of the passed drug tests.

I've been wrong. I've also hacked into Goodell's computer and saw a memo that Gregory would be banned for life if he ever messes up again, despite it not being in the drug policy. He said "I did reinstate Josh Gordon even though he failed a test after applying for reinstatement, but Gregory is a Dallas Cowboy player, and I will never give him another chance". I'm going to go sell my story to TMZ now.

I actually want him to come back this year if possible and have the season of a lifetime. It'd be one heck of a story. A guy that was not expected to see the field again turns out to be the hero on a defense that needs pass rush. What could be a better story than that? It'd be great!
He was getting better & better while playing, he knows it,we know it& the EVIL HAND UPON THE HELM,,,KNEW ITo_O

Yes, medical pot has it's place for chronic pain, nausea and loss of appetite for patients undergoing cancer treatment, glaucoma too I believe. Still, I've watched teenagers and 20 somethings buy weed first on payday and neglect other minor things like food and rent. THC may not be addictive but I think the lifestyle is. Getting buzzed with the buds, lounging around doing nothing, playing video games and getting baked are all forms of escapism. Then again so is alcohol. fanzone too I suppose for some but I digress.

Agree furboy, a medical script for THC from the doc to combat chronic pain should be allowed by the NFL the same as fentanyl, oxy and many pharmaceuticals. Let's face it smoking is not great for anyone whether it's tobacco or wacky tobacc but pill form would seem to be a healthier way to take THC. What do I know

If he can get his head screwed on right, develop some other form of LEGAL escapism, welcome back Randy. I don't know the man nor judge him. If it's chronic pain he's battling that sucks. If it's escapism, find a different outlet

I don't know for sure but I believe he's either manic depressive or boarder line & the green reefer evened him out in the maintenance of that particular ailment.
I know some of those prescribed Pharmaceuticals are akin to the old adage " THE CURE WILL KILL YOU",,,most suffers don't like the effects their prescribed 'meds' put on them.
