I mean to be honest, nothing IR says here is a surprise. Talks haven’t even started. Obviously, the two parties are going to talk.

No. The tweet says you can restructure him without adding those two years
I guess it's an odd formality to add years u don't push money into.

2025 25 million
2026 11 million

If we split his salary up for 2024, which is 60 million, we're looking at 32 Million per year.

Of course that's really simplistic. I don't know what guarantees we are still on the hook for.

No they wouldn’t add years if they don’t push money into it. I’m just saying they don’t have to do that. Dak would also have to agree to that

But yes just push money into 25 and 26 and run everyone back on one year deal

Yeah, we all saw this coming.

It's getting really hard to care anymore. There is zero hope to sink emotions into with this team. Running it back for the same ole' results.

Oops, my bad, I forgot McCarthy told us to "Buy into us" because "We have established a championship program. It's just not a world championship yet." I'm shaking with enthusiasm!

The only thing that surprises me about any of this is that some of you believed there was even a small possibility of something else happening. NFL teams do not cut or allow to walk top-10 QBs in the prime of their career. OCCASIONALLY they trade them, but when they do it’s usually for off the field issues (like Watson and Rodgers) and they get a massive haul.

This is what happens to teams that are poorly run.

You double down on a mistake because you feel you have no other choice. You feel you have no other choice because you have no idea what you're doing or how you found even a fraction of success in the first place.

Celebrate no rings coming to Dallas for the next 5 years, so you can free up your schedule in January for vacation or DIY projects.

Keep Dak waiting until his contract expires or delivers us a Super Bowl trophy. Do not continue to pay this man for falling short of our SB goals.

How many members have been on the site before or since 2016? ~raises hand~

How many members said in late 2016 or early 2017 a quarterback who gets Jones' full support, like Romo did, would likely be around FAR longer than quarterback critics' proclamations? ~raises hand~

How many members still cannot wrap their minds around Rapoport's tweet after... Wait. How many years has Prescott been the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys? ~chuckles softly~

No, one is going to talk, and the other one is going to listen. Dak will be doing the talking while JJ listens. Dak has all the leverage. JJ is to old to start new and when Dak tells him to bend over like he did the last time, JJ will drop his drawers and bend over, hand Dak the Vaseline and when it's all said and done, Dak will go out and buy him some more cars. Dude has it made in the shade.

I can see it now...Dak riding around in his brand new $230,500 convertible car with his girl's hair blowing in the wind yelling out the World...."Here we go...!" Tad be in the back seat...smiling with his headphones on listening to Micha moaning and groaning about something.

Talk about someone that can fall in a puddle of crap and come out smelling like a rose...there he goes.

Yeah those years were meaningless anyway. My 32 million per year was based on pushing into 25, 26 only. That's probably more than guaranteed though so we may not carry that much. This is where we miss AdamJT, he used to crush it with the cap.

They can’t do anything with Dak, contractually, without his expressed consent.
This isn’t true at all. Why is this so hard to understand. He has two dummy years on his current contract. They don’t need his consent for anything

Then the Cowboys have no hope and next season is over before it begins.

It will be the most toxic year of football all because the Jones’s neglect.
Ya, it's going to fall apart fast.
There's a reason I refer to him as the Cowboy's 666.
Filling his coffers and leaving destruction and misery in his wake.
As an ex NY NY always had a liking for our local JETS.
