Yall keep pushing this narrative. Tj watt had 19 sacks last year with Hayward playing only 11 games. Enough is enough with the excuses.
More excuses. Yall pick and choose when analytics matter. Osa is always a top dt according to analytics so there's the help you're whining about.
Your Parsons bitterness is bizarre.

Facts aren't excuses. Micah's #s need no excuses. Micah is 5th in sacks since he came into the league. Micah's sacks have prodcued more yards lost than any other player, including Watt & Garrett.

No, the analytics say Osa is a pretty good DT, but nothing exceptional. Which is exactly what he is.

Keep in mind they just signed Dak to an extension ($60M) of $5M more than the highest-paid QB ( Burrow $55M ). Reports are Parsons is asking for a similar deal. Bosa is highest paid defensive ($34M) and Parsons is reportedly looking $40M, that's $6M which would definitely reset the market. In other words, Dallas would have players whose contracts reset the market but STILL need a bunch of more players/talent.
This is why IMO Jerry and Stephen may pause a bit if Parsons insist on getting $40M. Hell, $35M would make him the highest paid.......should that be enough?
What Jerry and Stephen think doesn't matter. They set a precedent by overpaying for an average QB and now they have to bite the pillow and pay Micah accordingly. Micah is a dominant pass Rusher in a league of his own. Dak should have never been extended, his backup already matched his wins this season.

That's a flat out lie. He's been top 10 in pressure rate past 2 years. Why are you lying to protect micah?

Parsons and Lamb are two of the top 25 players in the NFL and play two of the most important positions. As annoying as Micah can be, you cannot trade him if you're interested in winning. Who would be your best pass rusher? Breeland? LOL
LB and WR are not “2 of the most important positions” LOL

You don't trade a great DE. He's the cornerstone of that defense. Like Dak, he has a bad habit of playing like the best player in the league for streaks and then completely falling off in big moments that he needs to get over, but he's too good to trade. Though, if I'm Dallas I pick up his option and franchise him for at least one season and make sure he continues to play at an elite level. They just have to get some real DTs and another good rusher to really maximize Micah's value. we just can't catch a break with the Overshown news, I really thought they may be the two building blocks going forward.

RB was more important than the QB in 1989.

Main point is unless this team is going to draft a franchise quarterback with whatever they receive, I don’t think it’s worth trading Micah. Otherwise they’ll just use the picks to attempt to replace him, probably with a lesser talent.

And you know they won’t go QB. They’ve dug their heels into Prescott.

I’d trade Micah in an instant if it meant getting Arch Manning in a couple years but that isn’t happening.

Parsons is HoF caliber talent. You do not trade that away.

What we should do is actually invest in the front seven so Parsons can roam and rush on every play.

We'd be looking at multiple year DPOY if the team actually invested in its roster.
I disagree what they shouldn't do is trade him for nothing like they did cooper.

I get that he's not a QB but the starting point should be multiple 1st round picks and 1 of them being near the top 10. Better to get teams talking/bidding then make a decision on what is best. These guys do not want to build around parsons, they'll use his contract as an excuse why they can not afford a 2 million dollar nose tackle.

“Hershel Walker is HOF level talent. You don’t trade that away”.

You in 1989.
That's really silly. This isn't 1989, and no one is making a Walker-like trade.

Not to mention, in the salary cap era, we can't (and won't) just load up on good players to replace Micah. What we will do is trade an elite player and keep trying to replace that void through unproven rookies. It's a completely moronic strategy, which is made worse by our completely moronic GMs who refuse to sign anyone worth more than 2 dollars.

That shows why they're such clowns. They didn't have to reset the market with Dak, they waited until they were painted into a corner and had to. Same with CD.

The salary cap is approaching $300 million. An extra $5 million for Micah is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. It's not about the salary cap, it's about the cash. The Jones want a private island to dock their $300 million yacht with an airstrip for their fleet of jets.

No one is giving you 1st and 2nd rounders for 3 straight drafts, and we're talking about a 25 year old at the 2nd most coveted position, not a 27 yr old with 9 years of tread on his tires at the most easily replaceable position.

Yes because in 1989, the way to get better outside the draft was make trades. Now with FA, teams are less likely to give up massive packages for players in a trade unless it's a QB.

That poster just lied. Will you address that or keep coming at me? Either were quoting analytics or were not.
I have no idea if he lied but it’s really besides the point.

Parsons is an elite pass rusher and yet you seem to have a big up your butt about him.

Sounds like crap they leak because they think it may get them a discount.

Then they give up a record deal anyway after Jerry watches the leaves fall.

They aren’t good at this, yet sit there smugly as if the rest of the league is dumb.

It’s one thing to not be good enough, but with 31 other teams there’s at least hope for eventual change.

It is the point. I haven't lied once about micah. Could I be wrong? Sure but I don't lie.
