Parsons is HoF caliber talent. You do not trade that away.

What we should do is actually invest in the front seven so Parsons can roam and rush on every play.

We'd be looking at multiple year DPOY if the team actually invested in its roster.
Nah, I don't think so

Though, if I'm Dallas I pick up his option and franchise him for at least one season and make sure he continues to play at an elite level.
He has made it very clear, he has no intention of playing the 5th year w/o a new deal.

New episode on hard knocks...

Jerry and Stephen sitting in a room talking about trading #11.

Jerry tells Stephen to work on it, but just so #11 doesn't go to the eagles because he wouldn't be able to sleep at night...

That's a flat out lie. He's been top 10 in pressure rate past 2 years. Why are you lying to protect micah?
No, it's a fact.

According to ESPN, Osa was 4th in PRWR among DTs last year. In 2024, ESPN says he's 16th PRWR among DTs. That ain't top 10.

PFF has him 25th overall among DTs, 9th in pass rush. A good pass rusher who's mediocre against the run.

All that indicates a pretty good DT, not a star. He does very little to protect Micah, it's Micah opponents scheme for, not Osa. Osa gets the benefit of playing with MP, hardly vice versa.

That Osa will get $10m/yr vs MP getting $35m+/yr tells the real story, not the phony one you're trying to tell.

I could continue and retort but what's the point? Your mind will not change no matter what evidence is presented. Enjoy

Trade or resign him, the end results will be the same. Dallas can barely build a team around the huge contracts right now. Add in another for Micah and the bargain-bin shopping will only get worse. Jerry would get fleeced on a trade anyways and use those picks either trying to replace him or use on lesser positions of need.

If Dallas had a real GM with a vision and a plan, I would trust in what he is trying to accomplish even if that includes trading Parsons. We don’t have that luxury and have to rely on those two idiots playing fantasy football. Dallas is in a no-win situation after giving Dak Fort Knox. So, keep or let Parsons go will not change a thing over these next few years, might as well resign him and hope the defense can carry the team because the offense sure won’t.

This is just my take but I definitely think this has legs. It could be Jerry and Stephens's early message on how far they will go or else..........
Keep in mind, IF they decide to trade him

*** It will likely be to a team that already has a franchise QB
*** Def before the draft coz things could get toxic if he's forced to play next season w/o a new deal
*** There is no way his new team makes a trade w/o a pre-trade contract agreement
*** Parsons's leverage will be his refusal to sign any new deal unless he gets what he wants ( his choice of team and contract terms ). New could still make the trade and have him for three years (5th-year option (2025) and 2 tags ( 2026 and 2027) ) before making a drop dead decision.
*** Nick Bosa is currently the highest-paid defensive player........ ( $34M ...$122M guaranteed ). Likely Parsons floor.......
*** For contract neg.....is he an LBer or a DE? It matters.......

Hope so, I really do.
They are going to wear him out going up against OL as much as they have him do.

Williams likely doesn't have the sack totals to make it. He's less than 100 and most of the Hall of Famers at edge have well over 100 career sacks. At his current rate, Parsons will be in that class. Allen is an unusual case but I think he may get in eventually.

It's a little off topic from this thread, but I'm really interested in seeing what Osa does get in free agency. On the plus side, he's 26, injury free, and has put in 3 virtually identical seasons, so he's a really proven quantity. On the minus side, he's more of a pressure guy than a sack guy and sucks against the run. Curious to see what that's going to pencil out to.

Anyway, his contract will be a fraction of Micah's.

I really don't think they are going to trade him. And honestly, with how they've handled trades lately, I don't trust them to get back what he's worth!!!
He is only worth what someone is willing to trade for him. If this is being considered it needs to happen on day one of FA.

Just maybe the Jones' learned waiting to the last minute was a mistake. You can't trade and get value after the rest of the league has drafted and spent all their FA money.

Parsons either needs to sign a contract that Jones' are willing to pay, or he needs to be traded immediately.

It’s wise to listen but unless it’s a monster deal like 3 ones I’d sign him. Elite pass rushers are next to QB’s as the hardest position to fill
