The Road and Book of Eli

Liked both although each could have been better.

After watching The Road, I dreamed about that for 2-3 nights. Not nightmares but just being put in similar situations...really weird.

Have only had one other movie do that to me...one of the made for TV Stephen King movies that I don't even remember the name of.

Just weird.

DVRed the Road last night, plan on watching it pretty soon. Is it ultra depressing, because I will probably wait till after Christmas to watch if so.:

Zodiac? As in Robert Downey and Jake Gyllenhaal? Just 6 out of 10? Oh man... that's a solid 8 at least.

Try the book. Execrable. The movie was a little more approachable.

Enjoyed Eli. I think it the notably better of the two.

Pretty depressing, not so much as the book, which will cause suicidal tendencies from the style alone, much less the content. The deus ex machina ending blows too.

Definitely wait until after Christmas.

Actually, I don't know what kind of mood you need to be in to watch it.

It's that depressing. Kinda like Passion of the ******. You watch it once and probably won't again.

The Fighter 7.5/10. Predictable, but pretty good. I hate how they play up the guy who fights him at the end as an arrogant B.

I love Mark Wahlberg, so decided to watch the Other Guys (unrated) again. Still funny!

Exactly what I expected and I enjoyed it. You can see that Disney's intent here was to plant the seed of a new franchise, perhaps to take over for Pirates of the Carribbean since I can't imagine there will be another one after this one. (Penelope Cruz, Really?)

I actually thought they were using Jeff Bridges as a gimmick to get the older fans back in but he was actually in a lot of the movie.

Loved the Daft Punk cameo, I'm a fan of theirs and their score was perfect for the film.

5 & 6 are already planned.

Wahlberg is SO much better when surrounded with strong actors. He positively stole every scene he was in in The Departed.

Well that's unfortunate.

The role he was playing was designed to steal scenes, I've never been impressed with Walberg as an actor.

Lmao...I certainly hope so. It's based on a true story. ;)

I've never been a huge Mark Wahlberg fan (I like Donny better), but I hope he's as good as he was in The Departed. He's playing the role of my favorite boxer...I'd hate to see it get butchered. I'll be checking this out after Christmas.

Couple of scenes in there had me rolling.

I have to temper the description but the one scene with Katie Morgan and her problem, made me laugh and disgusted at the same time. :laugh2:

There is a similar movie called the Amateurs that was ok.

Zombie Strippers.

Even if you like Zombie movies it was pretty weak but there was some nice eye candy in it. :D
