What is scary is that we will have to go thru this whole thing again if anything happens to Madonna. Or Elton John. Or in Bob's case, Pee Wee Herman.

Just saw Night at the Museum, Smithsonian. Predictable and mindless, but pretty funny. Especially the Egyptian bad guy with the lisp. For a "Pt. 2" gig, it was pretty good.

Saw the new Terminator too. It was a let-down. But only because the first three Terminators centered around THE CHASE. The whole plot in the first three were the same..............bad Terminator chasing good guys, and that led to a lot of fun. This movie is more about the story line of man vs. machine, how it started, how it's being played out, the drama of mankind trying to survive against the machines in the BIG picture of our fate. It was good, but it lacked all that chasing around that the first three had.

With regard to The Dark Knight, I got a tattoo of Batman on my leg, so here goes.............

Somebody FINALLY got it right. Anything and everything else BEFORE these last two movies were garbage and stupid. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are the REAL DEAL according to the original intent of Batman. Christian Bale is, BY FAR, the BEST Batman ever! The reason his voice changes is the same reason ANY super-hero disguises himself. It's part of his cover-up. I know it grates on people, and it's been the object of a lot of critical commentary about the movie. But it's a part of Bruce Wayne remaining incognito behind that mask.

The numbers, the Oscars, and the hype all give it a 10 out of 10. I, of course, give it a 20 out of 10, buy I have a personal agenda.................

just watched Revolutionary Road... ok, finished watching it today b/c all the drinking in the movie made me want to have martinis and after #4, I was out... I digress.

8/10 - Winslett is a great actress. Tough tough subject matter.

I saw this somewhat recently as well. What a freaking depressing movie. I really liked it though. It definitely had me thinking about it for a couple of days after.

Scott Walker: 30th Century Man. 7/10

Documentary about the visionary musician. Great insight into a truly genius artist. Wish there was more discussion with him.

"UP" - Four out of Five Stars.
"The Great K&A Train Robbery" - Silent film from 1926, John Wayne's first movie appearance at age 19, he is unrecognizable in his cameo.

Five out of Five Stars.

star trek 8.5/10

looking forward to public enemies and bruno.
Universal thanks you, they're bombing as a studio right now, made too many flops recently.

Land of the Lost
Funny People
Public Enemies
Bruno

That constitutes their summer slate and Bruno is on the fence, its projected to be hit or miss.

For the second summer in a row my former employer Paramount Pictures looks to be king of the box office as their summer slate is mostly money making.

Monsters and Aliens
Star Trek
Imagine That
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
G.I.Joe: The rise of Cobra

Last summer they horded the biggest box office with:

Iron Man
Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Kung ** Panda
The Love Guru
Eagle Eye
Tropic Thunder

Pineapple Express - 8/10- Better than I thought it was going to be. It had like 15 minutes of unnecessary action though. Danny Mcbride is about to blow up

Gran Torino - 9/10 - So good. Eastwood left a classic character. "This is my ***** neighbor kid"

Iron Man - 8/10 - Gwyenth Paltrow sucks, but everyone else was awesome. Why replace Terrance Howard though?

Saw Pride and Glory last night from redbox. I was pleasantly surprised.

Probably 6 or 7 out of 10, but Ed Norton always adds a point, so 7.
