Rate the last movie you saw

Revenge of the Fallen- 7.5/10.

I'm pretty close to that. There were a few things I could have done without but still an kick *** flick.

Yeah, if they would have trimmed 30 minutes off (e.g., most everything to do with the old British robot, which was completely unnecessary) it would have been higher.

- Constantly spinning camera and too-close action shots
- The hip-hop influenced "twins"
- Robot disguised as a human

- Movie too long, final fight between Optimus and Fallen/Megatron way too short

- Almost everything with O-Prime, especially the forest fight
- Sam making fun of frat boys tight shirt

Disliked:
- Constantly spinning camera and too-close action shots
- The hip-hop influenced "twins"
- Robot disguised as a human
- Autobot "heaven" scene
- Movie too long, final fight between Optimus and Fallen/Megatron way too short

It's not a "heaven" scene, but something that goes back to the old Transformers mythos with the Matrix. Not something most non die-hard fans would know about though.

Main thing I disliked was the length of the whole desert/egypt portion of the movie and the disappointingly easy way that some characters die. Some of the CGI was also disappointing to me (mostly non-robot CGI that felt like they didn't give much thought to - i.e. rocks falling from the pyramid). The end needed to top the forest fight, but it didn't even come close.

I actually liked the twins even though I thought I'd hate them from what I had seen. I liked that they didn't really pause and setup for them to have one liners, they just threw their lines in as things kept chugging along.

Like T3. It did not have to be made. Rehashed this and rehashed that.

They tied T1 to T4 the best they could and that wasnt enough.

This was a light, feel good movie. Pretty good. That woman is a real knockout.

Because my wife lets me watch the Mets or Packers anytime they are on with not one complaint, I have the privildge of getting to see any chick flick any time. :sarcasm: After the last couple of Sandra Bulloch movies that were horrible, (Premonition and The Glass House) this one was much better. I still dont see what Scarlett Johanssen sees in this Ryan Reynolds guy. Too much of a girly man for a hottie like that.

How can anyone give Transformers more than a 5/10. I mean, I realize that this movie is made mostly to market big explosions, big robots, and Megan Fox, but that doesn't mean they had to exclude any meaning at all.

Because it's someones opinion. What you like and others like are different. I thought it was very good.

I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, just putting my own out there-- which is that it can't possible be more than a 5/10.

I like people who contradict other's opinions by saying "it's just my opinion". That makes a ton of sense.

Edit: Seriously, check out Beast Wars... you'll realize what transformers was like at its best. (ok, don't do that, watching late '90s cartoons as an adult probably isn't useful)

Would you say the first was a 5/10? It was easily better than the first one. Really the main problem it has is pacing in the last third of the movie. Most of the other complaints I've seen were not valid at all since they'd complain about something that didn't happen, or happened completely different. That or they didn't understand something that was clearly stated during the movie. Many critics obviously didn't pay attention to much of what was going on and were going to hate it no matter what. Hell critics apparently loved Shrek 2, as awful as that was.

I think 7.5/10 is perfectly reasonable. It was entertaining, better than the first, but not great like The Dark Knight or anything.
