Blasphemy!

He's right...UP! was a downer for me.
Why kill the most likeable character in the movie?
Why the miscarriage?....isn't this a kid movie?
Death,miscarriage,loneliness?....why?...kids want happy,colorful things.

That's actually the part I liked. That was a very well crafted beginning to the movie. It was the nonsense that followed that was weak. It wasn't bad, but it was typical kiddie fair that you cana get anywhere. The kid sucked, the bird was stupid, and the dog, the best of the 3, was humorous at times but ultimately still weak. The "villain" was pretty cookie cutter as well. Pixar can do great things when they want to, but they mix in way too much fluff and annoyance typical of what should be lower quality studios. The Incredibles is still their last really good movie.

Went and saw The Proposal yesterday with the family, it was ok but nothing to write home about. There were a few funny scenes but for the most part it was pretty average movie in my opinion.

7/10

he cracks me up the way he changes his voice when he's Batman

Sadly he doesn't just do it as Batman. Folks who watched the new Terminator, if they were paying attention, caught him doing it as John Connor.

The Dark Knight - 10/10 - The Heath Ledger performance, alone, makes this a fantastic movie. Loved it.

The Wrestler - 9/10 - I thought this was a great flick and I really thought Rourke was amazing in his role. Absolutely one of the better movies I've seen in a while.

No Country For Old Men - 10/10 - I know a lot of people hated this, for various reasons, but I absolutely loved it. I thought the actors did a fantastic job with a less is more approach. I loved the dialogue and the bad guy was just absolutely creepy.

Night At The Museum II - 6/10 - It's a good family flick. My kids enjoyed it, it had it's moments, it's nothing special. I enjoyed the first one more.

Terminator: Salvation - 8/10 - It wasn't the greatest movie ever but I liked it much better than the third and I enjoyed it about as much as the 2nd one. Maybe not quite as much but it's up there. I still like the first one better than all of them. The fact that Bale forgets, at times, that he's John Connor and not Batman was kind of annoying though.

Twilight - 1.5/10 - I knew, pretty much, going in that it wouldn't be my kind of flick but my wife loved the movie, watched it multiple times, and begged me to watch it with her. As I figured it was a complete waste of time. I absolutely hated this movie.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop - 5/10 - Again it wasn't special, it wasn't even very good, but it had it's moments and my son thought it was hilarious. So it was good just for the time spent with him to see it but definately not one I'd want to see again.

Marley And Me - 5/10 - About what you'd expect out of this particular movie, going in. I wasn't expecting anything special and it delievered that in spades. The final 10 minutes, or so, of the movie was moving, and something people could really relate to, but the rest of the movie was just kind of blah.

You guys should be careful admitting you saw Paul Blart with Theo around.

Or, respect for Theo or not, he could simply not care what Theo thinks about the time he spends with family. I know for a few people on this board it's such a revolutionary thought process that people actually *GASP* do things with their family that their family members will enjoy, that they necassarily wont, because they *GASP* love their family.

What a horrible thing.

I think you're underestimating children. I thought the film was great at showing that you can move on and be happy even after tough times in your life, whether you're young or old. I'm not going to go into the movie too much to avoid ruining it for those that haven't seen it.

The message of the movie is a great one if anyone bothered to pay attention, in addition to the funny and whimsical you expect from Pixar.

Rescue Dawn- 8.5

Christian Bale tries to escape a P.O.W camp. Based on a true story. Kinda sad, maybe not for everyone.

All she had to cover herself was her hands. She looked amazing.

The movie was surprisingly good, and she was great in it. She's a very underrated physical comedy actor.

I've always had a thing for her. She may not be the hottest ever, but something about her just gets me. Can't explain it.

Check out the documentary that was based on called Little Deiter Needs to Fly. Werner Herzog directed both the documentary and the film.

Don't judge me!

It reminds me of high school, so it's one of my 'guilty pleasure' movies.:
