Wow perfect scores. I liked both movies.

Yeah man, I actually wasn't expecting much out of them but was totally surprised. I wanted to laugh in HB 2 and was laughing harder and more than expected. Pines was even hilarious in it.

The Interview: 2/10. Fell asleep watching it on Netflix (made me realize the side characters in Pineapple Express is what made the movie, not those two)

While I don't agree with you on both counts, that Danny McBride is my favorite side character. He's hilarious in East Bound and Down.

The Interview I almost fell asleep at first it took me a while before I started laughing but I enjoyed it, I'd give it like a 6/10

Oh, I love Danny McBride and E Bound and Down (own the dvds). I worded that wrong in that Pineapple Express was a different movie compared to the Interview(Franco is a beta-stoner) and was saying McBride and the hitman were also funnier than I gave them credit for. I loved McBride in the "The Worlds End" flick too with Jonah Hill, and the group, etc. Maybe I will give it another try, I remember up to the point of the movie where they actually get to NK and were meeting the ambassador they both were crushing on.

Yea the film once it got to NK got a lot funnier. The start of The Interview was a drag.

The Interview - 6.5/10 - I thought it was better then I figured it was going to be. Maybe going in with 0 expectations is the key to enjoying it.

American Sniper - 7.5/10 - I thought it was good but unlike The Interview, I had high expectations and to me it didnt live up to the hype. Bradley Cooper was great though.

John Wick- 7/10. Fun movie I enjoyed it.
The Drop- 8/10. James Gandolfinis final role I enjoyed it cool plot twist at the end.
American Sniper- 6/10. I really went in expecting a great movie but honestly I was let down. Just didn't live up to the hype for me. I have never been a Bradly Cooper fan but he was really good in this role.

The Imitation Game - Story about the man/team who helped crack the enigma machine.
I like movies about WWII so it piqued my interest.
The movie was a tad slow, it was a tad long and if you went into it thinking it would be a thriller or action movie than you can squash that idea.

It is a good movie. I personally enjoyed it but I can see where many might find it slow or boring if it is was not a topic of interest to begin with.

Also I can see other people not liking it for other reasons but will not go into it as I don't want to spoil it for anyone and I don't want it to turn into a political or religious debate.

This movie in many ways is similar to a documentary vs a movie so again if this type of thing is a topic of interest for you, than you might enjoy the movie...if you want a fast paced thriller or action packed movie...it is not going to be for you.

On a side note, if you have seen it...did Kiera Knightly look like Winona Ryder...or was that just me?

I'll go ahead and spoil it. The ****'s lose.

There is some similarity from Knightly's look in this movie to Ryder.

The first Act of this film was very promising, the transition points, the visuals, the sound....
But as the film moved into the second act, I felt like it was a hollywood vehicle without distinct visual language, making it no different than a TV movie..
it was inconsistent.. At times it would be high key, you would have a few contrasty scenes... but overall a disappointment, to me...especially coming from Clint Eastwood... This is not to say the film can't be entertaining for some... I just hold Tom Stern and Clint Eastwood to a higher standard. The film felt rushed, no finesse, and it was so many cameras shooting at times, it felt like they just used shots, quality framing or not... a convoy of Vehicles in one wide shot used for transition was completely out of focus, a wide shot out of focus during the day? Pretty difficult to achieve.... Good Performance by Bradley Cooper, who is putting together a great resume...

Started with so much promise concept wise... The unique make up of an individuals eye, and the human behind them...
A scientist vs A spiritual soul. But.... It fell apart as it went along.
The film lost its way, the ending was particularly disappointing.
Micheal Pitt is attempting to produce and act in different types of films... I wish him luck, but this wasn't the one imo....

A life crumbling, a structure crumbling, a career crumbling, a new life & opportunity arising from the ashes...
All of this in a car..... some may enjoy, some may get rather bored... credit to the director and photographer for creating many different ways to capture someone driving a car... Tom Hardy performance was ok, but I've seen him do a lot better.

Big Eyes
7/10
Tim Burton's Biographical take on the life of painter Margret Keane, and the phenomenon that was her "Big Eyes" paintings, for which her husband took credit. Tim Burton takes you into the world, but his quirkiness creates some oddities in the film's final act, yes even quirkier than the story itself. It becomes a bit campy towards the end... Amy Adams, like her "American Hustle" counterpart, Bradley Cooper, is putting together a fine resume.

Selma
7.5/10
Ava DuVernay directs this account of the march from Selma to Montgomery,Alabama by MLK, his peers, and supporters, in their attempt to gain voter, and human rights. Solid account, no hollywood fluff, very dark and dramatic photography decisions by Cinematographer Bradford Young, who also photographed "A Violent Year". No nonsense film good performances, by a ensemble cast.... Very relevant to some of the injustices going on today.

The Iron Giant
7/10
Warner Bros takes advantage of the great run of films disney had in the 90's with this 50's tale about an "ultimate weapon" giant, that shows to be a gentle soul, learning compassion along its journey. Really well done...... Pretty good subtext behind the lovable giant tale, leaving room for both adults and children to enjoy....

A Walk Among the Tombstones
6/10
Surprisingly Liam Neeson isn't "Snapping Necks, and Cashing Large Checks" at every turn in this film. More of a Noir film following a private investigator with demons as he attempts to solve several crimes involving small time hustlers who prey on big money makers for ransom. Decent entertainment... No Liam Neeson movie these days go without having cheese, and this film had its share. Good performance by child actor Kid Astro as TJ. Interesting photography, some picturesque wide shots popped up at times I didn't expect them....

A mess of a woman goes on a road trip with her alcoholic, wild for the night grandma.
Melissa McCarthy has her moments, so this film has it's moments. Susan Sarandon is still pretty attractive for a 68 year old woman.
A few laughs here and there....
