Forgot to mention it.

When I was watching Contact, they had some old computers on there and one of the web browsers was netscape. Have not seen that in years...I could see the little animated gif when it was working.

Brought back memories of surfing the web on a dial up modem.

I was a big fan of the concept of that movie when I was young.....

Netscape was right there in competition for Windows Internet Explorer as the top browser at the time. I used Netscape a lot back then.

What fun that was... The "explorer" vs the "navigator" lol

Saw Furious 7

Totally unbelievable
Nonstop action

10 out of 10 simply because installment #7 of the franchise kept you engaged for the full length of the movie.

It was a hella ride!

The Judge: 6/10. Awesome performances by pretty much everyone, but they tried to cram too many themes and ideals into the plot. If it were a little more simple and relied more on the acting rather than convoluted plot devices, it could have been great.

Wolf Cop. 8/10. This was a laugh riot. It is hard to describe, but it is similar to Shaun of the Dead. I was laughing the whole time.

True Story: 4/10. I am not really sure why this movie was made. It was surprising to see Hill and Franco doing a drama together, but they have both proven themselves capable and they hold their own here. Falicity Jones did okay too, but her character is a complete waste and should have been omitted. The problem is there really isn't anything all that interesting or remarkable about the story, and there is no payoff for the time spent seeing it. It may be a true story (or based on one), but that doesn't mean it was a story worth telling.

Gone Girl - 6 out of 10. Great movie until roughly the last ten minutes. I really, really hated the way they ended it.

I watched "The Raid 2: Berandal" a few days ago. Great action flick from Indonesia and was even a selection at Sundance. It takes place in Jakarta a couple hours after the events of the first Raid movie. A rookie cop goes deep undercover into one of the dominant organized crime families to help build a case against the corruption within the police department.

If you're a fan of action flicks, this is your kind of movie. Great action, great production, just an all round great action flick. The first Raid movie was great but The Raid 2 is even better. I can't wait to see The Raid 3, unfortunately it won't be out for a couple more years : (

The Raid 2: Berandal 8.5/10

I'm a hard-core fan of the Raid series.. Was totally disappointed when Gareth said he hasn't even started on the filming and said it would probably be around 2018. I heard they have Tony Jaa locked up though for it. I'm assuming he may play a role similar to the Assassin.

I heard that same thing about Tony Jaa, but so disappointing it won't even begin filming for a couple more years. I really liked the Hammergirl and Bat Boy parts, so awesome! I watched a short clip,4min., about Hammergirl that was pretty good. I thought it was an official short film about the movie, but turns out it was an indie project. It was well done. I would put a link on here but it's pretty violent. Just search YouTube fore Hammergirl.

Sweet...

I'm not sure if you know, but a couple of the cast, including Iko, are going to be in the new Star Wars film. Iko's first movie, Merantau was also pretty good. That's when I first came across him. If you saw Dredd, the last one, the script essentially copied off the Raid.

Check out the Korean flicks I mentioned on Netflicks if you have it. I'm sure they are on-line too and considering your love of Raid, I think you would enjoy these. Their fight scenes are pretty crazy and really well done.

I liked that last Dredd movie and you're right, it was straight from The Raid. That's cool about the new Star Wars film, just another reason to look forward to it.

Not bad for a low budget movie I have never heard of.

Australian made, low budget....little slow at times and probably could have been better if it was a little shorter.

Horror Genre where a book is read aloud and the monster from the book comes to life.

At one point I was hoping the monster would get the little boy as he was so annoying at times

Other times I was hoping the monster would get the mom as she was just as annoying.

But in the end, for a low budget movie that I have never heard of and had it's flaws...it was still an ok watch.

It had the feeling of a Japanese horror movie where some things are a little slow and odd pacing but good in the end.

The Calling is a mystery thriller with Susan Sarandon, Donald Sutherland, Christopher Heyerdahl. It's about a string of murders through Canada that appear to have a sinister religious meaning. Great cast and an interesting premise, but just didn't live up to it's potential. The dialogue was mundane, never felt connected to characters and the overall feel seemed more somber than suspenseful.

The Calling 5/10

Automata is a sci-fi thriller starring Antonio Banderas, Dylan McDermott and Melanie Grittith. Solar storms have killed off 99% of the earth's population and automata robots have been created to help rebuild. Banderas plays an insurance agent that investigates claims that a robot was violating one of the two security protocols, cannot harm humans and cannot alter itself or other robots. Visuals are pretty good considering the small $7million budget. It was a little slow in some parts, but had a decent story.

Automata 6.5/10

Sometime back I watched flight of the intruder and mentioned that I needed to watch Bat21 again.

Well Bat 21 happened to be on a few days ago.

I still really like this movie. Hard to go wrong with Gene Hackman.

What I had forgotten was that Jerry Reed played a role in the movie. What I did not know prior to it (even after seeing it multiple times) was that Jerry Reed not only had a role in the move, he also an executive producer.

Avengers age of ultron, pretty gosh darn good y'all. Better than the first one, still kinda lacked a real threat from the main bad guy, but some really nice set pieces and character interaction. Up there in the mount Rushmore of marvel movies.

Atari: Game over Documentary.

Could have been better and talked a little more about how they went out but overall it was kind of fun to watch. Fun to see some of the old atari games and think...hey I had that one and that one and so on.

And it did basically answer the question of what happened to atari but did not go into enough detail. I wish they would have expanded on that section of the story instead of the part where they were digging up the old ET games and so on.

I remember atari was so big at the time but went away all of a sudden. I remember that the 2600 was the main atari for some time but when the 5200 came out hardly anyone got it and it might have been a price issue back then but I don't recall.

I just remember starting to play mostly computer game (commodore 64) with friends in the army (dating myself here). I remember a little of colecovision gaming system sucking( remember burger time). Then nintendo came along and that took over everything for a long time.

Part of me wishes I still had my old atari and some of the cartridges to play.

You can get some of the games on your computer, tablet, phone and in one case I had a controller that looked like a nintendo type controller that you could hook up to your TV and it would play games like river raid...but it was not the same without the old joy stick.
