I guess I'm the lone dissenting opinion but I liked Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

I thought it was a fun flashback to that era and I enjoyed the cinematography, cars, music, clothing that made you feel like you were watching a movie actually shot in those times and I thought the story was a fun "what if" of historical events

While I didn't like it overall, I still felt there was a lot of really good work put into it and enjoyable aspects. I just think it needs some heavy handed editing.

Last Days in the Desert

Filmed in the California desert, Last Days in the Desert
is a fictional story about the 40 days Jesus wandered in
the desert / wilderness.

Struggling with mortal conflicts about his fate, and being
taunted by satan. Eventually he befriends a family living
in the desert.

The slow pace of this movie will put most people off plus it’s only four
cast members in 5 roles (Jesus and Satan played by same actor).

I liked it but I like slow paced movies as it allows you time during the
movie to contemplate deeper meanings and intent of dialogue.

I give it a 6-10 but it’s likely most people won’t even finish it.

Finally saw Spider-Man FFH with kids

7.5/10
Great action but the whole concept of ‘everything‘ being fake in the first part was a big big stretch for me
Also not a fan of the current version of MJ at all and that totally ruins a movie for me

Got in the Western flashback mood last night and watched "Silverado". What a great movie to pay homage to those over the top orchestral scores of Westerns in the way back machine, even had some over the top when there was no action, a hallmark of Western scores.

I also like seeing the variety of creativity from the director/writer Lawrence Kasdan. Few would see the connection to "The Big Chill" except for Kline and Goldblum. Both very well directed and written. Not to mention what seems to be every Star Wars fan favorite, "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Raiders"

Words to live by, my friends.
"I want everything I do to have humor in it, because it seems to me that all of life has that"...……….Lawrence Kasdan

I don't like the new MJ characterization at all either.

Saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Liked it, didn't love it. Dragged a bit. Had some good character development and good acting. Enjoyable, but not special. I did enjoy seeing Robbie in a Don Meredith jersey.

It's not the same character of Mary Jane. It's just someone with the same initials.

No, I’m saying I don’t like the girl playing MJ
Truthfully, I had not really paid any attention to Zendaya beforehand. I have seen her do only a handful of interviews. She seems like a nice intelligent young woman with a few personality traits seen in her Michelle Jones character that I really like. She's spunky in a kind of laid back way.

Well, then I guess ‘spunky in a laid back way’ is not my thing

Is it too much to ask for Spider-Man’s GF to be a hottie?

It is perfectly okay if that is what you want out of actress playing the character. My curiosity spiked a bit though. Do you consider the other two movie actresses who played the hero's love interest, Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone, as hotties?

I would say Dunst 'wins' in a hypothetical contest. If I allowed myself to get away from actresses' performance and focus on appearance from the movies, I would have not named Dunst, Stone or Zendaya. Instead, I would have tabbed Laura Harrier, who played Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming.. Of course, Parker put Liz's father in prison and killed any chance of them ever getting together.

Opens the doors for Liz to come back as the new Vulture to seek revenge against Peter. Have her character survive the snap and be 5 years older. Have her dad to get killed in prison because the other inmates find out that his daughter went out with Spider-man. She goes crazy and blames Peter.

Never been a Dunst fan
Emma stone any day

IMO the role of the super hero GF is to be eye candy. JMO
