Between dating and then getting married my wife and I have been together since August 2017. We have never been to see a movie together until last week and it happened while we were in Montana. I was there for work and she was there for vacation. We went to see Top Gun Maverick. I liked the movie. She loved every second of it.

I only liked it because even though it was a good movie for me to let for the adrenaline rush take hold, it did not offer any suspense at all. I knew in each scene how everything would play out, and I mean EVERYTHING. That part was boring.

My wife gives it a solid 10/10
I give it a 7/10

Smashing the speed barrier in the test plane while plane eventually disintegrates from pushing the limits and Maverick survives - Check
Make fun and mock the "old" man and have an "oh crap" moment the next day - Check
Doesn't want to be an instructor but proves he can do it - Check
Maverick toys with the Top Gun pilots and proves he is still the best and it's not even close - Check
Rooster hates Maverick for various reasons but in the end all is forgiven and they become best buds - Check
The plane shot down in training both aviators survive - Check
Iceman dies (Check), Maverick gets removed from program, Maverick "steals" a plane, and proves he can do the mission - Check
The first plane has its laser guided targeting system work perfectly, but the second laser guided system fails, but no worries, the crew is going to do it blind and it hits target perfectly - Check
All pilots overcome the extreme G's to escape - Check
Both Maverick and Rooster get shot down and survive and are able to secure an old Navy plane to escape with full fuel and ECM flares - Check
Maverick is such an awesome pilot he is able to take an old Navy plane and beat the newest aircraft technology - Check
Hangman is an arrogant pilot, but in the end we are shown he is a really good guy when he arrives out of nowhere to save the day - Check
Maverick and girlfriend fall in love forever - Check
 That's Hollywood for ya!

What part of Montana are you in?

I'm back in the panhandle of FL now, but I was in the NW corner of Montana last week. I was in a little town named Kalispell.
Ah yes, I've been to Kalispell. The gateway to Glacier National Park. Beautiful area of the country.

Re-watched "Jaws", still holds up, still a great movie. The f/x shark isn't great by today's standards, but somehow doesn't matter, everything else is so well done. 10/10
That is a July 4th watch for me every year and the fact they had so many problems with Bruce the Shark and still pulled off a movie that kept my feet off the floor the entire time was a testament to their perseverance. I don't even mind the real shark shots mingled with the fake, what a great adventure and wild ride.

Hell, I even sing along with "Show Me the Way to Go Home" at the top of my lungs forcing my dogs to go into the front bedroom and barricade the door.

Multiverse of madness. Uhhh

I didn't like it. Not sure how to rate it yet. I mean it's hard to go without spoilers but man. First marvel film I was wondering when it was going to end.

On second thought may need to rewatch it.

I just got done watching it myself. It was a bit corny at times, and so much going on. I give it a 6.5/10. One thing I really hope:
I really hope that Reed Richards is only in that universe, because he was awful in every way.
