I usually don't watch these types of movies, but when I seen the great Anthony Hopkins was is in it, I couldn't refuse.I remember being so letdown with that Wolfman movie. The visuals were good but the movie itself. Meh
Maybe i need to give it another try.
What streaming service? Finally watched "Everything, Everywhere All At Once", it was really good. Good story, great visuals, it was a fun ride and can't say enough good things about Michelle Yeoh. 8.5/10
I, too, watched Prey and I also really liked it.
I was kind of hoping Arnold was going to make a quick appearance by popping out of the woods and saying "You're one ugly............."
It was an "alternate" streaming site. What streaming service?
Got a half hour into it, and...just, no. I give it an incomplete rating, because I'm not even gonna finish watching it.Uncharted, 5.5/10
I re-watched "The Thing" (1982), I watched it when it was released in theaters and liked it and like a bit more each time I watch it. It got raked over the coals by critics at the time, which I couldn't understand. It starts off as a mystery, then some some sci-fi, then some horror, then after the seeds have been sewn a thriller, that paranoia...... The practical effects still hold up very well by today's standards. The "spider" is still one of my favorite creature creations of all time and Palmer's reaction is perfect.
I've seen the movie many times, I know how the movie ends, but still can't be sure how the story ends. That's one of the best things about the movie, looking for those clues or hints along the way. There's no overt humor, but there's a few lines that crack me up, the situation and timing are perfect. The score by Ennio Morricone sets the mood perfectly. 10/10
It's the 40th anniversary of it's release which kinda prompted me to re-watch it. It's amazing how many great movies were released that year Bladerunner, Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan, Poltergist, ET, Fast Times, First Blood, Conan The Barbarian, Gandhi, 48 Hrs., Pink Floyd The Wall.........
Spoiler for a 40 year old movie? For those few that haven't watched it. Over the years, I've flip flopped about the ending, are both infected, neither, only one of them, but which one? I think I leans towards Childs, but seems obvious and there are questions about Mac. So basically I still don't know. Nauls line "Maybe we're at war with Norway" still cracks me up.

In honor of one of my most beloved movies, chock full of GREAT dialogue, here is one of my favorite quotes:I re-watched "The Thing" (1982), I watched it when it was released in theaters and liked it and like a bit more each time I watch it. At the end, when they are the only two left... Watch both of their breaths when they talk... One has the steam coming out when talking, the other does not. The one that does not is.... THE THING
