Weird: The Al Yankovic Story 7/10 This an over-the-top parody of the Rock and Roll star biopic in the only way Weird Al could do it. I smiled and occasionally laughed while watching. I'll probably watch it again, and I would hope anyone who watches it knows it's a parody.
Only thing I know about that is that Styles was accused of spitting on Chris Pine at the press conference. And let me say this here and now. No boy bander spits on Captain Kirk.

Just watched the movie Fall. It's about two girls that climb a 2,000 ft radio tower and get stranded. Despite how boring the plot sounds, it actually wasn't too bad. It also had an unexpected twist at the end. I wouldn't say you need to rush out and watch this movie, but if you need a good filler movie, I think it's worth it.
The premise is that the US Army (defense department) has somehow opened a hole into another dimension which allows unimaginable horrors escape into part of New England.
Coming with the monsters is a thick mist that one is only able to see through for a few yards.
The movie is far darker than the novella, with the movie ending arguably being one of the darkest in cinematic history.
That being said it's a terrific movie!
IMDB gives it a 7.1 rating which I think is too low. I think the movie rating gets whacked some due to the dreary ending, which I feel is a mistake.
It took a lot of guts to film that ending and if anything turns a good horror film into a great horror film.
8/10 for me.
Oh and the person behind this film was Frank Darabont, the guy who did the "Shawshank Redemption" which regularly battles "Godfather Part II" as the top-rated movie on IMDB.

Love this film because it adds the human factor with what happens within the store being equal to what is outside it in horror. Want to make a monster movie scarier? Add humans.
My older son saw this the first day it premiered and said he has never sat in a full theater and been part of an audience in a state of shock and stupor like that.

Anyone that watched this movie without knowing the ending a head of time was just gob-smacked with what they just saw– I know I was.
He shoots the other folks in the vehicle... Gets out and hears the "monsters" and is beyond stunned when it's not some kind of man-eating mutant coming out of the fog, but a self-propelled howitzer.
And boy, the look he shares with Melissa McBride who's riding safely along with her kids as part of the military convey.
After all that occurred and credits started rolling I thought at the time, "Damn all those folks left in the store were probably saved–Even Mrs. Carmody, which probably irritated the heck out of her because the world was not ending."

The other thing about "The Mist" is it's incredible how screwed up the TV series was–To have have the ground-work in place set by the film (and King's novella) and change the "baddies" from beasts from another dimension to basically ghosts/poltergeists was stunning in its stupidity.
Wakanda Forever -Black Panther 2
Overall I liked it. I thought it was solid. It’s good but not overwhelming ‘Wow ‘ .
It did not hit me quite such as a Winter Soldier.
It maintained it’s colorful cinematography and costume designs, ..make up effect, ..especially during the memorial services for king T’Challa, tributes to the late actor Chad Boswick on more than one occasion. and special dedication at movie end.
Oh yes, please stay for the post ending credits for one of the ‘ two’ biggest surprises of the film’s franchise. Very important.!
(spoilers)To per rumors, I thought T'Challa/Xmen’s Storm would play a huge part, but that never happened.
The other 2nd pleasant surprise saw Nakia as a battle warrioress, new and far cry than what she was in the first BP. (spoilers)
- As much as I wanted to and try to buy into Namor the Submariner,.. I just couldn’t get into his look and appearance.
I strongly prefer a more cleaner face look (much like the comics) without the moustache, nose bull rings and all the necklaces (that were supposedly Vibranium)
He just did Not look like the Marvel comics Namor to me.
However I did like the wing feet flight look and his hand to hand combat battle skills displayed in the CGI special effects.
- Ditto with the tsunami water CGI effects.
- I could handle the “ Aztec’ tribe like origin that explained why Namor looks more Earth human rather than “blue skinned’ like his fellow Takolans.
- The leading pet peeve of the movie I thought it was too long and had too many lulling, dragging droughts in several spots that slowed the pace and flow of the film between action sequences.
Maybe it placed too big emphasis on Takolan origin and indifferent relationship vs Wakanda ?
- Speaking of action, I had some difficulties in the beginning with the invading Takolans, because it was just too dark and a hard see. I could not see what was going on action wise.
However It got better once the action was displayed in the day light.
(spoilers)Speaking of, were the blue skinned Takolans so superhumanly strong and impervious that they could not be harmed by gun-shots ?
Or was it their vibranium necklaces that deflected bullets ? But yet mere spears and tomahawks could do them more damage and harm ?(spoilers)
- Great battle scenes with Namor vs Wakandas !.
I would’ve loved it more if the Ocean critters (sharks, octopus, killer whales, etc. ) would’ve been summoned to aid in battle (and Namor comic has that summon capability)
- I liked the Wakanda aircrafts.
- I wanted a bit more anew weapons-wise from Riri Williams’s battle armor alias “ Iron Heart”.
But this film set the new introduction for that character.
BTW, i did Not like the Ironheart's armor look... it reminded me of Bumblebee Transformers.
- More peeves ?
How was Riri Williams that much advanced technology wise than Shuri ? (spoilers)And I didn’t get how Shuri survived her massive serious injury considering what and how it happened(spoilers)
- Great acting performances by Angela Bassett and Letitia Wright ! Riri (Dominque Tomes) was the one line humor jokester added
with Akoye, Shuri and “ Maku’.
- Music score and soundtrack featured techno and ethical beat and sound.
