I think they just tried to do too much. The simpler parts were pretty good, but the more detailed, complicated part failed, IMO. Also, I can't stand the way show Flash running in slow motion when he's at super speed. I'd prefer to see just a blur. I'm okay with the slow motion when they're showing him moving things around, like Quicksilver in the X-Men movie.
Agreed - definitely tried to so a lot in 1 movie. 1 other quirk - what is up with Ben Affleck's face when he is wearing the mask? Looks like they filmed various parts maybe months apart where there was some weight gain or they made it about 2 sizes too small.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that in my earlier review, I think. It looks like the cowl is rejecting his face and trying to push it out. Lol

Just watched over the weekend with the family - I went in with very low expectations given what many had said about it. I was actually surprised and didn't think it was that bad. The CGI looked very weird at times - almost like normal scenes were animated. Wasn't a huge fan of this timeline's version of Superman - but it didn't ruin the movie for me. Overall I'd give it a 7/10. Enjoyable for what it was
That'd be Supergirl, not a version of Superman. His cousin.

I saw Equalizer 3 today at the AMC Dolby Cinema theater. I give this movie a Grade A rating.

There will be blood.

There will be tears.

There will be car remote action.

There will be corkscrew action.

There will inquiries "Is that a Timex watch you're wearing?"

After the movie, I slipped into the AMC IMAX theater showing E3, for the last 10 minutes of the film.

I enjoyed the IMAX experience more than the Dolby Cinema for picture and sound. I did miss the recliner though, that was in the Dolby Cinema theater. I will be choosing the IMAX over the Dolby Cinema from now on.

Last Indiana Jones movie.
Kind of middle of the road.

Black Demon Another megalodon shark movie. Has a different twist.
OK because of the twist but some silly things. Some will probably be triggered

The Meg2 should have been called the Meh too.
Actually liked black demon better over all.

"Texas Chainsaw 3D" (2013)

Does not get quite the beating by fans & critics as "Texas Chainsaw: The Next Generation" (1995), but it's a fairly low regarded movie within the franchise.

I'll come out and say I like it.

I liked the premise that it takes up where the original ended and gave us the story of what happens next (within a day or two of the ending of the first film).

Yeah, it has some weaknesses such as a lack of character development outside the main actor and the chief protagonist.

Some may consider the story to be to "far out there" even for a fictionally-based horror flick.

I thought the action was acceptable... Not great, not horrible.

IMDB gives it a rating of 4.8, which I think it's a better movie than that. I give it 5.5 out of 10.

Not a world beater of a movie, but I've seen a lot worse.

A couple things going for it–The main actress is an absolute knock-out!

And this was the last movie appearance for Marilyn Burns, who played the "last girl" in the original movie.

The Wolf of Wall Street

If not for Margot Robbie and the other eye candy, this would have been a complete crap fest...though I have to say, as someone who's met a lot of Long Islanders, Jonah Hill did an impressive job with his character, especially early on in the movie.

Overall, I give it a 4/10 for it's pointlessness.

Big George Foreman - Watched this on my flight home last night. It wasn't a bad watch. Nothing incredible, but if you enjoy the history of boxing and are in the mood for a biopic about Foreman, it's entertaining enough to be worth a watch.

97 Minutes - Was looking for something random to throw on and watch. Saw this movie pop up and decided to try this movie that is on Hulu. Has Alec Baldwin in it. Says it's new from 2023. It's about a hi-jacked commercial airplane that will crash in 97 minutes when the fuel runs out. Absolutely terrible movie. So bad I couldn't even finish it. Horrible acting. Horrible special effects. Just all around bad. I dont recommend it at all. I'm guessing Baldwin is just taking whatever roles he can these days??

I guess you saw Indiana Jones on the early release purchase option? I don't see it anywhere for streaming yet. Was hoping it was out when I read your review.

Boogie Nights (1997)

9.5/10

Haven't seen this movie in a long time, but it's close to the perfect movie. The pacing is great, there's never really a dull moment. Lots of tense scenes, like Dirk's first scene, the Alfred Molina scene with the firecrackers. Lots of comedy thrown in. The cast is amazing. There really isn't anyone who I would re-cast. Paul Thomas Anderson does a great job of making you care about coked out porn stars. Watch it if you haven't seen it.

Agreed. I don't think they plan on doing another one, which is good. Unless they came up with an amazing script, it ended where it should.
They did the after credit shots with some new people there and regulars not.
I am not sure it was for a new movie.
However I do wonder if they think about doing a Disney Series with the newer group.
Just something I wondered. That or they incorporate some of them into other movies.
