Rate the last movie you saw

Enders Game 7.5/10. I liked it. . Wish I would have the book first though

Zombie Apocalypse (2011)

so I decided to watch a Zombie movie Sunday, to get me in the right frame of mind for the return of The Walking Dead, and Zombie Apocalypse was on my DVR...so how could I resist.

B movie, just exactly what you would expect from a movie like this. It was great ha ha. And the zombie CGI tiger at the end? Pure awesomeness.

Ving Rhames (yeah, who? I know) was the big star in this film, but the ladies were by and large also were just what you would expect in a B movie like this - smoking hot, butt kickers.

I mean, really, how to rate a film like this? On its B-ness? Anyone coming to a film like this looking for grand scale special effects or Oscar-worthy performances or anything like that will be sorely disappointed. But for low budget, stick to the script of B predictability? Heck, the zombie tiger totally blew THAT out of the water lol.

So, on the Grand Scale of "B", I gotta, GOTTA go to an 8.5 out of 10 !! (on a normal scale, this equates to more of a 4.5 out of 10)

For a SYFY channel movie it was decent. I laughed at the fifty cal in the shopping cart. It was much better than the SYFY channel zombie movie with Anthony Michael Hall last year called Zombie Night, don't waste your time on it.

If you liked the movie you watched you might like another SYFY channel zombie movie called Rise of the Zombies. With Levar Burton.

However you should search YouTube for a French Zombie movie called The Horde. It's raid redemption movie with Zombies.

My buddy in Lancaster, PA luvs his zombie flicks too and said the same thing about "Zombie Night". Considers it maybe the worst Z movie... ever!

"The Horde" is a very good low-budget flick. So is "Berlin Undead". About the best low budget Z film I've seen is "The Dead".

seen dallas buyers club 8/10

Yeah, MM was great in this.
Sad, great, informative movies about the early days of aids and how the human spirit will fight.

I could have gone 8.5 movie

MM performance = 10
He got soooo thin.

Well, we are snowed in so we watched two movies last night, one with kids and one without (you can guess which :D )

Free Birds - 5 out of 10 - Thanksgiving Movie about two Turkeys going back in time to stop Pilgrims from starting the use of Turkeys for Thanksgiving. Even the kids got a little bored during this one, but I will say that using George Takei as a voice did have it's moments.

The Descent - 7 out of 10 - Good suspense/horror movie, but there were some moments where even I had a hard time suspending belief (and that means that a normal person would probably have a REALLY hard time). It was certainly worth the watch.

Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2 with my 3 year old. We both enjoyed it pretty well. I'd give it a 7.5.

I didn't really get it. Did they explain why they needed to use children? Seemed kind of random to me. I thought it was OK.

The Purge: 1/10. I knew it would be bad, but just wanted to sit back and kill a few brain cells. It has to be the worst movie of 2013. Acting, plot, music. All terrible. I turned it off about 55 minutes into it.

I thought it was pretty decent especially coming from Uwe Boll. It may be his best movie, although that's not saying a lot for the guy most believe to be the world's worst director.

But yeah, pretty twisted. One of my worst nightmares honestly. That and a Sharknado.

Hey my bad about Sharknado, just saw that it's a real movie on Netflix. Thought you were kidding :)

I watched one of the most heartbreaking yet arguably THE BEST movie I have watched in a very very very very long time.....The Broken Circle Breakdown.

*Make sure you have some tissue handy if you plan to watch this movie but it is so freaking worth it.

I'm buying the soundtrack ASAP.

ha yeah man. I haven't seen it, but there was a lot of sarcastic buzz going around about that movie the week it premiered (on the SyFy channel, no less).

Here is a clip of one of the most poignant moments of the movie.

And they're making a sequel...
