Guardians - 8 out of 10. I found Bautista to be a little annoying, but Pratt was very entertaining as Star Lord and the rest of the cast really did a good job. This one and and Captain America earlier this year ended up a much better effort than last years Iron Man and Thor. I'm glad they stepped up in advance of the new Avengers movie next year.

Talk To Me. 9.5/10

Don Cheadle, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Martin Sheen. The true story of Washington DC convict turned radio DJ Petey Greene. The acting was amazing. Cheadle was great as Petey. Showed how he started out as a DJ playing records for the inmates while in prison, getting released and moving back with his long time girlfriend played by Taraji P. Henson (so fine and hilarious in this movie), and becoming a popular DC radio personality during the civil rights era. Amazingly underrated movie.

That was a good movie.... although her recent movies has been lacking, along with "Eve's Bayou" that was Director Kassi Lemmons finest......

Lets Be Cops
This is the double feature film to watch after watching an aging bond in a sub par espionage film (see above)
A few good laughs here and there, not terrible, not great...decent entertainment.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned, but.....

An excellent movie. I am not sure why I waited this long to see it since I love baseball and the Mets(although no real ties to the Brooklyn Dodgers) are my team. It is amazing to see what that man went through, including his family.

8/10

Seen that there is another season (season 8) of Trailer Park Boys starting up this month.

A friend of mine has been telling me about it for some time since he watched the series (7 seasons) on netflix and that I might like it. It is a comedy series that was made in Canada and ran from 2001-2007/8ish.

I finally got around to watching them and have been binge watching (when I have had the time) over the last week and this past weekend.

Have to say Although they are kind of stupid and started off slow, it is a show I have grown to love.

With that said they made a couple of movies and I have not seen the oldest one but just watched the one from 2014.

Trailer Park Boys: Don't Legalize it.

Really enjoyed it and just like with the show I found my self laughing quite a bit.

I would not recommend watching the movie if you have not seen the series as it will not be as funny.

Also not a movie or series to watch if you don't like a lot of cussing.

TPB are hilarious (Rickey...) Mr. Lahey, etc. Great and very underrated show in the states...what will they do to land back in jail at the conclusion of every season/movie?:D Rickey is so comfortable in jail it becomes too funny (wanting to stay in for an extra week bc of the guards vs prisoners street hockey game). Trevor..."smokes!"

I think that was my problem when I saw the Trailer Park Boys movie (first movie). I didn't see the any of the shows beforehand so all the jokes meant nothing to me. I didn't think it was funny at all. I should go back and start watching it from the beginning of the series and see if that helps. I usually like that type of humor.

I die not care for the first movie even after watching the shows.

American Beauty. 9.5/10. The best film ever on the infamous mid-life crisis. Very subtly hilarious. Kevin Spacey is so underrated. Very similar to Robin Williams with regard to range in acting.

American Beauty was a very good film. One of the last two movies of the late great cinematographer Conrad Hall.... (road to perdition was the other... also a very good film.. same director, sam mendes)

Leaves of Grass. 7.5/10. Very underrated comedy that came out in 2009. I rented it from Redbox a few years ago and saw it again today on Cinemax. Edward Norton plays two identical brothers from Oklahoma. One is a professor of philosophy at an Ivy League law school. He broke away from his family, ceased all connection, and trained himself out of his accent. The other is a grizzly faced pot dealer back home in Oklahoma. The pot head tricks the professor into visiting back home by having someone call the university and tell him his brother died. The professor comes back to Oklahoma, catches up on old times, falls for an old girlfriend, and gets caught up in drama when local drug dealers mistake him for his brother. Very good movie.

The Monuments Men...10/10

Great movie...interesting subject.

Good movie but to be honest I found it kind of slow. It did not have much spirit to it for a lack of a better term.

One of those movies that I enjoyed watching it once but don't think I would sit and watch it again.
