good films... I really liked Finding Forrester... But I liked Good Will Hunting as well.... Gus Van Sant directed both... similar movies in a lot of ways...bit of a hood reboot.

Catch me if you can was well done... leo was really good in that. I liked him most personally in that, and The Departed.

I thought he was great in The Wolf of Wall Street too. I've heard that movie was overrated but I think the exact opposite. I'm really just a fan of Scorsese/Leo movies. Gangs of New York, The Departed and Wolf of Wall Street are all in my top 10.

I know. Movies like Gone With The Wind, The Wizard of Oz, The Godfather, Casablanca, etc. You know, ones that stand the test of time over endless decades and still hold up. I'm not the only one with this so called stricker grading policy.

I grew up watching those with mom as a child and a lot were not that bad ;)

I always liked "Meet me in St. Louis" and all of the Ma and Pa Kettles movies, they were just enjoyable.

I can't wait to see Rob Zombies 31. I am probably the only one though. ;)

Watched Maleficent with my niece this weekend. Much better then I thought it would be 7.5 / 10.

Escape Plan (Sly, Governator, Jurrasic Park guy)

It was okay for what it was. Kept me entertained anyway, and mindless escapism is good sometimes. Other than that, typical fare involving overly testosteronated action hero types like Sly and T-2000. Even Jurrasic Park guy was okay I guess as the prison doctor guy, but his part was pretty minimal.

7 out of 10

Sinister and the Conjuring.. I give them both 8 out of 10. Really good story-lines, the former's ending was a brilliant twist. Conjuring didn't have a real twist, but it was great all the way through.

The Wolf of Wall Street 7/10.

Really torn on this one. Acting was great...especially Jonah Hill...but the movie as a whole was over the top. I know it is a film about excess, and that over the top symbolizes that, but 3 hours of it got annoying.

On a side note did anyone else immediately think Bill Parcells with Hill's portrayal?

It was a long film... the second watch it flew by, and I appreciated its length......

Lovelace, the story of Linda Lovelace and the epic movie Deep Throat. Not bad. Amanda Seyfried was pretty good in it. Her husband was a real piece of work, beat her, abused her, pimped her out etc. She only made $1,250 for Deep Throat and the movie grossed 600 million.

I did learn that her husband at the time also ended up married to Marilyn Chambers of Behind the Green Door fame.

And agreed again....
One of the worst movies I have ever witnessed.

I at one time was hoping for a prequel to House of 1000 corpses/Devils Rejects but ship has already sailed.
Hopefully 31 is pretty good.

He definitely should have followed up with Rejects. Those were great characters in those movies. Downhill ever since....

Oculus - 7/10

It was pretty good. It had some creepy/freaky moments and I thought the ending was decent.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil - 7.5/10

Way funnier than I anticipated. I really enjoyed the two main characters and from what I've been reading, they're making another Tucker and Dale movie.

Kill List - 5/10

It had this nice brooding feel all the way through, but it dragged in spots and the ending, while definitely keeping my attention, just didn't land like it needed to.

Tusk...not sure what to say. Just don't see it.

This is where I leave you - 6/10. Okay movie. Funny in spots, kind of depressing in others. Pretty predictable.

I don't think it was a wide release. Something like 602 screens. I love Kevin Smith when he sticks to what made him, but this was just...just no.
