Case 39 (2009, horror, Renee Zellweger)

Man, that little girl playing Lillith did an okay job of playing demon child. Fairly decent effort in the film. Had some light chills.

7.2 out of 10

I liked this movie because I had no expectations of it going in. Had never heard of it so it was a clean slate for me going in as I expected it to be one of those low budget, straight to DVD, terribly acted movies...so with that in mind it surprised me.

Gravity - Meh.

I imagine if I seen it at the theater or at an IMAX theater it would have been visually amazing but all in all i found it kind of boring.

The Second Hobbit movie...really enjoyed it but these Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies really do run a tad long.

Returned to "home". I never expected that to be, you know, the Pitch Black world. Awesome. But the monsters there were nowhere near as fearsome as the first time in my opinion. Poor job of re-presenting them in my opinion.

Katee whats-her-name was pretty awesome as a badass woman in this film. She needs to be featured more prominently I think, let's see what she can do.

Overall, this film was probably pushing this franchise pretty much to its limits. Really can't see it getting any more screen time.

I did not think it was the same planet/creatures as pitch black.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby 7/10
Two people headed in the same direction, until a traumatic experience changes the road......
Solid story revealed in fragments, but you will hear the now repetitive line that you hear in most dramatic pieces.... "I can't do this anymore" Screen Writers have to stop writing this line!o_O

The last die hard movie. A good day to die hard.

I know the others were not award winners. However they were good action guy movies.

This one was just a stinker. I only made in in 20-30 minutes before I turned it off.

=======

Reds 2

Another Willis flick.

Although it was not as good as the first one it was enough to enjoy it as just an action movie with a few laughs. Even though it was not great, it was not anywhere as bad as The other Willis move I talked about.

Pompeii

Some great special effects when the mountain is blowing up and raining down devastation.

Beyond that it really was not a good movie.

I don't know if there was anything good about any of it other than the special effects.

It's one of those movies that basically follows a formula of other action type movies but for whatever reason just misses the mark.

The first hour and 20 minutes were good. Then it just kinda got stupid. 6/10

Pretty much how I felt. It was very predictable. That said, I thought it was an extremely well crafted movie. They just didn't have an amazing story to work with.

30 for 30- Tim Richmond: To The Limit
Documentary about the great Nascar driver, his rise to fame, and his ultimate untimely death due to AIDS. He lived too hard and died too fast. It was a great documentary, would liked for it to have been longer, so they could have gotten more in depth. It was like a cliff notes approach to his life. But it was wonderfully written and tastefully delivered by the narrator and director, Rory Karpf.

8/10

Mother and Daughter are vampires. The daughter starts to tell the story.

It is different than most Vampire stories, especially how they became vampires.

Foreign movie, kind of slow but meh it was not terrible nor was it great. Just a little different.

Ride Along - Thought it would be much funnier. I think I only laughed once.
Wish Ice Cube and Cris Tucker would do another movie together (does not have to be a Fridays one but just something funny).

Finished watching that and was kind of let down. Started watching something I have watched before but had not seen in some time. Was just going to watch a few minutes and go to bed early. Found myself watching the whole thing again.

Life of Pi - Just one of those movies that for whatever reason I like even though it is quite slow for the most part.

Yeah, the ending didn't do much for me, the part of the whole film retell as other characters. I didn't quite grok it in full
