GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2014. 8/10.

Liked the humor and the friendship the main characters developed. Didn't know what to expect, and thought the story was original and good.

But, I can't stop laughing at the casting of Glenn Close. Really? And her futuristic space hairdo. Hilarious. Casting director in pre production was prob saying, "Hey guys, we can get GLENN CLOSE!".

Seems to be a popular one here, as it should be...
The message of male figures, &/ or a father in a boys life(heck any child's life male or female) is an important one , even if you don't agree with the delivery...
Many thanks to the filmmaker

Interstellar. 9/10. I'm a Nolan fanboy, so take it for what it's worth. I liked almost everything about it. Very well paced for a 3 hour movie.

Big Hero 6 - Wow, what a great, great, great movie for the family! My kids loved it, my wife loved it, I loved it. We will own it when it comes out on Blu Ray.

The music was overwhelming at times, drowning out key dialogue. That was pretty much my only complaint. Going into it, I thought I wouldn't like Matthew McConaughey, but he was great. The docking scene reminded me of this scene from Inception:

Oh ok. Got it.

While I liked the tie in towards the end with the the 5th dimension and co minivans with daughter all the while.
It just got a little hokey for me. Don't get me wrong I love that stuff. Just barely worked for me. Maybe the way they did it. Maybe that was the only way to do it.

Still liked it lot. 8.75 out of 10

Ps. Man when I saw Damon, I knew that fudger was no good. It's like whenever you see a big name half way through a big movie, you didn't know he was in it. Never a good guy. Lol

Just saw 2.5 movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy 9/10

Really enjoyed it! I had a few minor questions, maybe I was not watching closely, that need to be answered.

X-Men Days of Future Past 5/10

Seemed like it was made, just to make a movie. Really average.

TMNT 1/10

I am half way through this. TERRIBLE! I am a fan of the original and of the cartoons of the 80s/90s. This was horrible to say the least. The CGI(or what ever they use now a days), was sooo unbelievable, it was like cartoons interacting with people. At least in the original, they used puppets, and people in costume. The original, was not perfects, but it was light years better than this. And the SKYPE plug, is sooo annoying, I really hate product placement. Johnny Knoxville, cast as Leo, really!?!

Wow. Very disappointed. Movie delivered nothing. Except a reboot and the end credits that show a future villain and 4 horseman.

Seemed like a very obvious cash my check movie.

I was looking forward to this coming to rental on demand. I had to wait for the buy to own button to go away, lol

If you are being serious, I agree. It looked like a way to reboot, to use the old cast, mixed in with Jennifer Lawrence.

Ya, the Apocalypse thing is interesting, but Disney seems to be going that route already with Thanos, almost like a copy cat, at this point.

Yes, was very serious. What they did in the movie, they didn't even do that well.

Big Hero 6 - 6/10. Just a completely mediocre movie in almost every way. Kind of disappointed, I thought it would be good. Only humorous part is when his batteries are low.

Hercules - 4/10. Not much to write home about here. Action isn't great, story is pretty bad (and very thin). Not a complete train wreck though...I guess.

Begin Again - 6.5/10. A decent movie, with okay music (my gf seemed to like it anyway). Not much to say really, it was okay.
