wow spiderman 3 was terrible... but i think at that point it was simply a cash cow for everyone involved.

Yeah looks like they mailed it in. I have the trilogy and hadn't watched it in a long time so i decided to re-visit it about a month ago and they don't age will but are still good movies. I got to the 3rd one and man it doesn't get any better. There was too much going on with Sandman, Harry/Goblin stuff, Peter going thru his dark phase, and then Venom. It was and still is a mess.

Edge of Tomorrow: 8.5 of 10

Low expectations may have bumped this score a bit for me, but even trying to be objectionable there's not a lot I didn't like about this movie.

Sure there are some plot holes, but it was a very interesting, somewhat unique storyline. Funnier than I thought it would be, and the constant "redo" aspect wasn't annoying like I thought it would be-- the direction found a way to make each repeated scene look like a different scene each time.

Really enjoyed this one.

Man of Steel (Superman 2013)

Textbook bad casting. Across the board, even the Superman guy, who SHOULD be like 16 but is about 40 in this film. ***?

So many flaws with this film. It is just horrible.

3.0 out of 18.

The final fight seen between him and Zod was pretty dope. How they were flying and punching each other at fool speed.

The Book of Life..

I guess it's a good movie for kids, but for adults, I thought it was terrible. And they had the nerve to make it in 3D, too? Waste of technology.

Blah. No rating...

I was disappointed in it, because of it being attached to del Toro. Box Trolls was good though. I can't wait for Big Hero 6 though... If it's as good as Wreck-it-Ralph, I'll be psyched.

Brad Pitt, Shia LeBouf, and Logan Lerman star in this war film about a tank platoon in the final days of World War II in Germany.
I'm sure many military guys young and old, as well as history buffs, could could poke holes in this story. If there's one thing David Ayers knows how to create, its action. His previous efforts "End of Watch" (director & writer), and "Training Day" (writer) showed that even with many inaccuracies he goes for the gusto when it comes to building tension... A fairly romanticized trip, but an interesting trip none the less. Photography by Roman Vasyanov is excellent... the final stand shoots the germans in complete silhouette, keeping the enemy as just 'shadows in the dark'.......

That did have some great action.

That's what I'm saying. What else are you going to watch it for? The story wasn't complex, it was no Raid 2 gang-war power play, but for what I expected and wanted, money movie.

a hilarious comedy? no... a dark satirical comedy, yes. (also a freaking hard movie to pull off considering how it was shot)
the subtitle of the movie says it all (The unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

The director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, rumor has it, penned this movie for Micheal Keaton, if that gives you anymore insight....
He also crafted 21 grams, Amores Perros, Babel, & Buitiful.... which were all well done. Expect Birdman to be popular during the awards season.

Weren't you like "what the hell" when he becomes Birdman and flies around and hears the voice? I think its meant to be hilarious...like he's on an acid trip?

the director would be super psyched that two people took his humor different ways.....
as long as we aren't discussing the type of manure it smelled like.....;)

Just saw Bill Murray's new movie. 10 of 10. Oscar worthy performances by everyone involved as well movie itself. If you get thru the last 10 minutes of movie without eyes watering, you have no heart. Just a great movie...

Tried a google search for it's wiki page, couldn't find one. Went to Murray's list of film credits, didn't see it listed. Do you have a link to the wikipage, or something describing the film?
