Let's say this: if either are starting than no Cowboys fan should be happy.
Their starters are good. These are the backups. Every team in the league have a depth issue in the oline. You know that don't you?

LT is injury-prone, C is mediocre, and RT is coming back from ACL tear....but hey, they are good......just remember that if Dak plays poorly as the OL can't be the reason because they are good.

That’s because you’re asking a silly question (due to the fact that us as fans have limited to no knowledge regarding playtime). Only the coaches know this.
He is a silly guy. He likes to mess with people. He was claiming that Deuce wouldn't be on the roster last week.

Really honest question here. If the coaching staff really think Duece is better than Davis, as you believe, then why hasnt Duece played in the first half of either game?
To me its a legit question that no one wants to answer.

I think one possible scenario is that it’s not a matter of deuce being better or whatever.

I think that they have a specific role for deuce in mind. Deuce is going to make the roster and serve specific purposes.

Meanwhile Rico and Malik are battling for the “#2” RB spot. To be the primary backup RB incase of injury or to give pollard breathers.

Whether Rico or Malik is the #2 guy (I think it will be Rico) deuce is still going to have his own defined role.

This is likely why Rico and Malik are “starting” in preseason as they are direct competition with each other and deuce isn’t because he is in his own role.

It will be interesting to see how active we will be after cuts. I hope we make some moves. We have space (even though we want to keep it to sign our guys).
It's likely there will be some players cut around the league that we will take a look at.
Gallimore is a guy I could see us "upgrade". He looks like crap, and did last year too.
We can save 2.7 mil in space by cutting him, and if we could bring in a vet 3 tech for vet min or close to it, we would upgrade the position AND save money. Smart move. Joseph is another guy, but his savings would only be 1.3 and doubt we upgrade significantly so I could see him being safe, and he does look OK so far. Louis is another story of course. If we save 4.7 by cutting him, and have the opportunity to replace him with a better player for less, then he likely goes. Maybe that guy is even already on the roster too.
If we do move on from Lewis and Gallimore, that's 7.4 mil. If we could get a back up vet 3 tech DL and an OL, then maybe a LB (espcially since Overshown went down), we'd look a lot better IMO. I had actually hoped we would keep Watkins and Peters from last season. Peters is still a FA, and a player in the Warkins range may still become available. a LB too.

Why is everyone so high on Dowdle? He screams PS. Davis is better, tho I don't like him too much either.

Which down?
That's an interesting question because he could actually be used on any down. I'll say he cannot pass protect, nor can he be a power back who can muscle through defenders. He can catch in space, and be elusive after - but his catch radius is small.

He'll never be a RB1, and never be a starting every down back. This is the big league. He offers something no doubt, but let's not kid ourselves about his limitations.

He is an awesome talent that will give defenses fits. One of the best in agility and pass receiving.

I sincerely hope you're right. When the season is over, we can weigh his pros & cons. I'm prepared to be wrong. I always expected him to be a pre-season star. Being an every down back against starters is quite different.
