He is garbage to you as you feel he will threaten Dak's job in 2025.Not sure how that has anything to do with Trance being garbage.

Everyone needs to start somewhere to get experience. Only you write him off, but then again, you are not an NFL scout. There is not another QB on any NFL roster with less than 500 snaps. Most HS QB's that get a D1 offer throw more than that in HS alone.
So your point in response to what I wrote was just to say that Lance is the most inexperienced QB on the roster in the NFL?Yes they actually do. Trance is the least experienced QB on any roster in the NFL.
He is showing slak chokes in the playoffs, just that we need to look elsewhere. Not sure how that has anything to do with Trance being garbage.
What reports? He is showing slak chokes in the playoffs, just that we need to look elsewhere.
Also, where are the links to these reports?
Fear of less than 500 careers passes is your interpretationYou lost me at Broaddus. One of the worst scouts ever. He has been wrong on many players.
What you say Broaddus said is opposite that 10 other reporters and coaches ad scouts have said.
Don't fear Trey, be happy we as a TEAM, have a QB that may have some potential for once. We will see come PS games.
Somewhat. So the Niners realized it was a mistake and GM Jetbro thought it was a good idea.
First of all I am not a Dak hater, just not as high on him as I was 3 years ago.Fear of less than 500 careers passes is your interpretation
Broaddus is a Superbowl winning scout
Dak Haters are Forum buffs
More like SF made a mistake, and Jerry fleeced them.So the Niners realized it was a mistake and GM Jetbro thought it was a good idea.
Wrong....Facts are Bryan Broaddus is responsible for scouting and standing on business for 3-5 players on a Superbowl team. This is far from a "secretaries" responsibilities.First of all I am not a Dak hater, just not as high on him as I was 3 years ago.
And now we have the 500 attempt stuff going on from several of you. Again, he needs experience. 10 scouts and MM and others say the complete opposite of a few novices on here. And anyone that thinks Broaddus was a great scout are mistaken.
Even Jason Garrett got a SB ring with Troy as the main QB.
The main office people, at least for Jerry got a SB ring, though not as big as the players. So there are SB winning secretaries out there. I seriously doubt what Broaddus did made them a SB champion.
Dak is leaving in free agency next March. Lance will not be threatening some other Cowboys quarterback’s job in 2025.He is garbage to you as you feel he will threaten Dak's job in 2025.
Love it!!I hear you. Count Dooku was a necessarily loss...soon we will have a new apprentice...one far younger and more powerful....
Hahaha........I wish it was funny.More like SF made a mistake, and Jerry fleeced them.
It's Cooper Rush but we must be reading different forums, because I've seen a ton of posts since the GB loss about fan wanting Trey Lance to take over as starter. Responding to the popular fan sentiment, not the reality of the depth charts. This thread is the result of a fan that doesn't understand the situation. Trey Lance is not competing for the QB1 job. At best, he is competing with Cooper Rush for the QB2 job. Trey will get a heavy dose of starting in the preseason. But the only way he ascends to the QB1 job is if he beats out Cooper and Dak gets injured. It could happen but it's not likely.
Make no mistake about why Trance was added to the team. It was a wish and a prayer that he has starting potential. It was a poor attempt to try and create leverage with Dak. Failed miserably. It's Cooper Rush but we must be reading different forums, because I've seen a ton of posts since the GB loss about fan wanting Trey Lance to take over as starter. All spot on, we knew Lance would be a project coming to Dallas. If anyone actually believed he had a chance to unseat Dak probably just likes gambling on long shot odds. However, it will be interesting what we see from him in the preseason and should give him 3/4s of snaps to see what he can do in preseason games. If he can't light it up against backups after 4 years I just don't see his ceiling being anything higher than backup.I think most of us are realistic about this young man's chances, but for those who are beating the drums that our #1 and #2 are in trouble it doesn't look good that the press is already saying Trey Lance looks inconsistent. No pads, no sacks, and the same offense he learned last year. I don't know what else he needs.
There has never been a successful QB project under Jerry Jones. Only 3 QBs have been successful as starters - Troy Aikman, Dak Prescott and Tony Romo. Troy was a gimme, the #1 overall pick and even Tom Landry admitted he would have drafted Troy if he had stayed on as coach. Tony Romo was Sean Payton's baby, and to stress the point even further that Jerry is horrible at spotting talent, Romo would have been cut if Quincy Carter hadn't failed his drug test. And then Dan Prescott who Jerry definitely didn't want because he tried his darnedest to draft another failed QB in Paxton Lynch. And the Cowboys lucked into Dak as a 13-3 rookie starter, that wasn't by choice. So who does Jerry get credit for? Names like Drew Henson, Chad Hutchinson and Quincy Carter. Winners. And this same GM was the first person the 49ers called because they know how much he drools over project QBs even though he couldn't pick the right one in an open field.
But we also saw Trey Lance play for the 49ers. He was lost, completely lost. This was the 49ers. This was not Steve Young who looked horrible on the worst franchise in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Bucks. Or even Jim Plunkett failing with the then horrible New England Patriots and winning Super Bowls as the franchise QB for the Raiders years later. This is the 49ers, who have maybe the best offensive minded head coach in the NFL, and are one of the most dominant teams in the NFL the last few years even if they don't have a SB win.
Anything is possible. But if I had to put money on Trey Lance becoming a franchise QB, I would definitely go the other direction. Which is sad, because I do think there's a good chance that Dan has played his last year here, and the Cowboys have no viable replacement. We are far from the Ron Wolf GM, or Green Bay Packers, who have the next great QB always lined up.
