Michael Gallup is going to make us forget all about Dez. I love his route running just below Ridley in this class and he has the ability to be an explosive player with the right coaching.

This offense is going back to the way it looked in 2016.

It looked the exact same in 2016, but teams played it differently and Dak couldn’t adjust.

In a timing-based downfield, Coryell offense you have to anticipate routes, meaning you to be able to throw WRs open. Dak doesn’t do it well.

My mother always told me to shut my mouth if I don't have anything nice to say... For the most part, I listened.

But... Uhmm...

Oh nevermind  mmmm good

Nice straw man you built there. Does it dance and do dishes as well? At no time did I mention Dak Prescott.

2016 season...through first 50 receptions:

Julio Jones...957 yds 5 TD
Dez Bryant...796 yds 9 TD
AJ Green...777 yds 3 TD
TY Hilton...769 yds 4 TD
Odell Beckham Jr...733 yds 6 TD
Brandin Cooks...731 yds 5 TD
Mike Evans...677 yds 7 TD
Jordy Nelson...663 yds 9 TD
Antonio Brown...617 yds 5 TD

The aforementioned data hardly proves that Bryant is washed up at 29 years of age.
DEz is not washed up at all....i studied coaches film rather extensively...and yes Dez had a lot more drops but...the main culprit in the Dak and Dez no chemistry....is Dak....yes he is a great leader and does find ways to win sometimes...but his mechanics and recognition were so poor last season...i just hope it was the residual trauma of being annihilated in Atlanta game and he will come out of it a better player this year...but i am concerned

hey bay--- after watching more and more Gallup highlights earlier today....i want him over Ridley.....he is bigger..longer arms...catches everything in his zip code with his hands....had decent speed...and smoothly runs exact routes...i had to give a platinum guarantee about Gallup
Gallop has all the skills you want in WR. He is one of the few prospects (along with Ridley and DJ Moore) who can step in and contribute right away. His traits (average height and speed for the position) made him a 3rd round pick.

I had him as a 2nd round player because his skills/effort make up for the average traits.

It’s always someone else’s fault.

We had to draft Connor Williams and spend money on Fleming because of the lack of scheme that went into the Atlanta game to help out our tackle.

We’re always trying to build a roster around Garrett’s flaws.

Now we have no pass weapons to speak of and we’ve just built an offense that can impose it’s will.
And where did all those offensive weapons in the passing game get us? This team needs defense and to run the ball. And what was so great about dez and Witten? Our offense was never a deep threat, quick strike with those guys anyway.

Lol......not by a long shot. The problem was both guys. Most pro opinions have pointed to dez. Dez wasn’t wiorth 16 mil. Doesn’t matter who was the qb.

If we actually did something with the savings to make the team better, it'd be understandable. but Martin nor Lawrence are signed to long -term contracts. We didn't use those savings for anything so I'm not sure of the exact purpose unless it was some conflict with the coaches. With Witten and Dez gone, this is a completely new team, so there is no finger-pointing for a lack of success.

What are we doing with that 24 million is the real question. If we get navarro bowman or someone who isn't roster fodder, then I'll be happy.

Not sure about savings because of Witten. I think we restructured him. Any dead money that will be lost coming due immediately because of Witten retiring?

same here cap--- second round traits....he was a biletnekoff award finalist ...that is the small group of best receivers in the nation...i dont like our first round 4 pick...not because he is not good...cowboy war room went crazy over him...Armstrong DE from Kansas...but we need inside D line help and safety help and TE help...unless Witten does not retire?...and a better or different #2 running back ( just my opnion )...i know Gregory will be playing DE for cowboys in 2018 and he will eventually start..along with Lawrence and Taco and Charles Tapper and Crawford...i think our DE's are not an area to worry about...but they love their pick for Armstrong DE Kansas... 6' 3" 250 long arms over 34 in. and huge violent hands over 10...had 10 sackes in 2016 but only 1 1/2 in 2017?

cap-- yes Witten lost steps...but the guy could get open no matter what and hands like velcro...just no YAC..yards after catch...but who cares,,,the dude was so smart and could block that is why no one could dethrone him....but i heard its not final that he is retiring and will mull it over this weekend...I hope Jerry talks him into playing one more year..just one more year

Roy--- dont agree it does not matter who is the QB...obviously you have not studied tape on Dak...if you have i got a question...what is the major difference in his throwing motion from 2016-2017?

I miss the NFC championship and the Superbowl. Thankful for their contribution, but time brings about change.

The biggest difference for dak was the injuries and suspensions. And if your such a pro on qbs then you would understand that a 2nd year qb needs to grow and improve as par for the course.

And I didn’t say qb didn’t matter. I said the money alone made dez a bad deal taking the qb completely out of the equation.
