The biggest difference for dak was the injuries and suspensions. And if your such a pro on qbs then you would understand that a 2nd year qb needs to grow and improve as par for the course.
Smith, Lee, Bailey and Elliott made a significant impact. Dak also struggled with a hand injury. The coaching admitted to blowing a couple games. The reality show distractions played a role. Dez was an emotional rollercoaster. But, all some fans can muster up is that it's all because of Dak.

my computer is too old to get it...i tried...was it good?
That sucks. It was great. It really put the reality of what went on throughout the whole season. A lot that most fans didn't realize.

roy--the issues of being young at QB were not what i was addressing....i did not say either i was such a pro at anything....but i do have eyes and
may motive was not to just drink the kool-aid...but by evidence of watching some one play and seeing mechanics it is not difficult to see areas of weakness...and i did not say i hated Dak or Dak is all washed up...but there are major areas of concern...and i also said i hoped these areas were do to the breakdowns last season and hoped it could right the ship...but i am concerned

Meh. He lost me the past 3 years. Every year you kept hoping old Dez would miraculously come back, but nope. Age waits for no man folks.

Dez kept us in the game against the Packers in the 2017 playoffs. It's not his fault his QB isn't any good and the OL decided to collapse last year.

The best LT, the best RB, the best LB and the best kicker in the entire NFL missed games and the staff couldn't fill the voids, it was simply too much all at once.
Most just use the blanket statement that "Injuries are part of the game."
The distraction the Elliott case made all season long was significant. It killed the momentum.
The reality show added distractions, imagine cameras everywhere all season.
Dak played through a minor hand injury.
Heath was kicking FGs.
And Dez was a bigger problem than most will admit. The staff constantly had to calm him down. Too many games he came unhinged and ruined his on chances.
The NY game he dropped a pass for a possible TD and he wouldn't let it go. He even came up with another helpful catch and we won the game, but he obsessed with the earlier drop and the coaches tried to set him straight. Same with the Skins game he dropped one after being pissed all game not getting the ball.
I won't mention the Seattle game.

Yes and now that (FO) is the consistent albatross around this teams neck. Hope I live to see another championship.

i am right with you friend----Jerry even said one time he would have fired a GM like himself had he witnessed such sub par performance...but since he owns the team ...he does not have to worry about looking over his shoulder...actually that is pure unadulterated arrogance..and i do not think we will even smell a championship until we get coaches with bigger cantelopes that are not afraid of risk and put a bit more fear into poor performing play...but of course that is only my opinion...another thing Den...both you and I have been cowboys fans close to 50 years and the cowboys have not sought out our opinion once...is that not at least a bit rude???..hehehehehehehehe

Romo apologists and Dak haters. I went through all this throughout Romo's entire career. There were fans that just hated Romo because he wasnt Tom Brady. Both Romo and Dak we are very very lucky to have. Stroke of luck both of them. Both are very very different QB's.

Any young QB is going to have weaknesses. All QB's have weaknesses. Much much more to like about Dak and be excited about. Other than being young, I see little to be worried about. Hes not a passer like Romo and I would never expect him to be. But he does other things better than Romo. I watched every game of his career. In fact, I was the first guy telling everyone that he was going to be a good one. I also told everyone that part of the reason Dak was doing so well was the quality around him on offense. He had some major adversity last year. It was good for him. Will make him a better player this year.

Gallup, Austin, Wilson, Hurns, Thompson...it's become increasingly obvious the Cowboys offense is changing.

I'm over Dez.

if we talking about Dez...this kid almost 30...dang...at some point we gotta remove the diapers

Yes Bryant. He showed his character or lack there of early on and even last season with his temper tantrums on the field and sidelines he showed his character hasn't changed. His character is not good and he's no kid anymore.

Exactly. It started before he even became HC. He sucked as an OC and sabotaged Wade to weasel his way into the HC job. The WRs talked about him handing out new play books after he got the gig. Garrett is a loser and a weasel POS.

Most new head coaches do change the playbook!!!! It's funny that with Garrett as OC the Cowboys offense was in the top 10 every year with 1 have the 2nd ranked offense.

I believe Jerry notices his flaws as a GM and he is atleast allowing change with the help of SJ. The new look roster and the open cap next year says alot.

I Believe Dallas peaks this year while 2019 could vary well be their year.
