Gun to my head.....give me Johnny over RGKnee. He sucks as an NFL QB, Manziel has more upside IMO. But, I don't want either!

This is how everyone is looking at Lynch and Goff. Seems like a can't miss!!! Draft this guy, look what they're saying about him!!!

GRADE
95.0

Robert Griffin III (QB06)
HT: 6'2" WT: 223LBS.

POSITION: QB

SCHOOL: Baylor

ARM LENGTH: 32 1/4"

HANDS: 9 1/2"

OVERVIEW
Many would argue that RG3 is not only the most physically gifted quarterback in the 2012 draft, but that he is the most talented player overall. His intangibles are making so many general managers swoon. Griffin, because of his athletic ability and Joe Montana-like ability to extend plays and remain focused on moving the ball downfield, not to mention his hurdling ability, stands to potentially be the better prospect when matching up physical traits with Luck. Nonetheless, RG3 likely will be a top-five pick and is so talented that teams with large investments in young quarterbacks, such as Sam Bradford in St. Louis, will have a tough time passing up on the opportunity to draft a potential game-changer.

i think RG3 ends up here. its the ideal place. He comes here he sits behind Romo (one of the best in the game). Keep in mind RG3 is probably thinking Romo cant stay on the field and he will get sum playing time. plus its the dallas cowboys, players wana play here + he gets to stick it to the Commanders twice a year!

manziel is not coming due to all his damn issues.

The draft is a scary gamble

Exactly we all know RG isn't that great of an athlete let alone QB, but my reasoning for him
staying away besides belief ^^ above, Is?
how we tend to treat QBs, Romo has been a victim
of the system that has been the cause of his constant injuries during his tenore in Dallas and so
I'd personally hate to see anyone come in and have to suffer through that kind of crap

Dallas is better off with the scrubs from the 0-11-1 season than they are with anyone of
real "talent

Why does he have to go further with his post? I think he was pretty clear when he said good stay away from Dallas. You might like RG III, but for the majority of us we say "stay away from Dallas" with him in unison.

It is. No one is a lock. Which is why if we have Romo now and we are just one Yr removed from a 12 win season, I think we should go BPA and add more talent to our roster to make another run at it. Injuries plagued is this year, we are still a good team.

:hammer:

This is my number one concern. What fans want is one thing and can be taken with a grain of salt. What the front office wants with their first round pick is all that matters. Forget odds or how fans feel about this year's top picks. If the front office is picking quarterback at the top of its board, it must be a solid franchise-sustaining selection.

Had Griffin been the Cowboys backup QB this year and not Weeden or Cassel, we would have won the NFC East and been in the playoffs.

I have no problem with Griffin as a backup next year if he is willing to come here.

I'm with you on this.

I'm pretty much with @ninja on that one too. RG3 has been humbled back down to Robert Griffin III and he is immensely talented. Manziel, on the other hand, has not one ounce of humility in his body. Keep JFB as far away as humanly possible.

Here's another write up on Griffinbedore the draft. People are so convinced Lynch Goff and Wentz are our saviors, but you'd be saying the same thing if Griffin was just coming out. Nothing is guaranteed but a Griffin signing allows us to draft BPA and still fill the backup QB spot with a young unproven 1st rd talent QB

Not gonna get into all the risks you take when you draft a player, especially qb, but every draft pick is a risk. I don't think anyone is talking about drafting a qb to be a backup, we can sign a scrub like rg3 for that. The need to draft top qb at #4 is totally to find Romo's replacement, whether it be a couple seasons from now or possibly next season. I think Romo is a great qb and always have, but I think his injuries and his age is, not will, catching up to him.

If we keep drafting for right now and signing for right now with no foresight for the future, then we will keep getting what we have gotten for the last 20 years.

Like the oline for example, finally this team done the smart thing and solidified the strength of this offense rather than make a flash in the pan pick.

I guess the best plan for this draft is to grab the BPA. My gut feeling is that will be a qb

Why not pursue a backup QB who has already enjoyed a respectable measure of success in the NFL already? For the life of me, I can't picture RGIII in that capacity. Additionally, I seriously doubt he'd entertain being Romo's backup. He recently seriously stated he considers himself a premier QB talent in the NFL. Does this sound like one willing to consider being a backup? He's deluded.

Well then take it from the guy who told you at that time that Griffin was one of the most overrated prospects to ever come out of the draft that neither Goff or Lynch are that level of fraud.

.

He wouldn't have made it through the season. Dez would have killed him the 5th or 6th time he was wide open and RG didn't see him.

Been reading articles between RG3 and JF for the last few days. A majority of the articles focus on how well RG3 too his benching this year, didn't become a distraction. Definitely looks to be humbled. Not the same with JF, just people looking to find him and others offering to help mentor someone who isn't asking for help. Talent I think is still there for both. I'll take JF's knees over RG3. Makes sense to take one of these guys and take the BPA at #4. I'm not sure you draft a QB and #4 and sit him for a year or more before getting your ROI. I'm with you in wanting RG3 over JF as a backup for Romo.

Exactly. I was impressed with how RG3 handled himself this year after losing his job to Cousins.
