Report: Cowboys DBs coach Jerome Henderson to join Dolphins coaching staff

What pains me is we've spent legitimate resources on having a great secondary and right now we only have half of one (Oscan and Byron

Sign Mangini to coach defensive backs. That's where he cut his teeth in New England, and he's free now that Tomsula was fired.

I'm not blaming it all on Henderson, that said I'm not sorry he left either

I would take former Cowboy Ray Horton to be DBs coach. Right now he is DC with Tennessee and whoever they hire as the new head coach might let him go. He has been with Tennessee and Cleveland these last 4 years as the DC. He was secondary coach for Pittsburgh under Cowher and later DC under Whisenhunt at both Arizona and Tennessee. Only problem is, he's been on 3-4 defenses these last few years.

I'm not going to waste much time on this guy's departure. I'll simply say "BYE".

Forgot about him. We did offer him the DB coach job back in 2011.

I always found it funny that guys off the street always produced INTs at CB for as long as I can remember, even more so in the past 6-10 years. Patmons pick 6 last year and Mitchell and Olaytoye this year.

Maybe they are hungry and willing to gamble more. Wantto make an impression

Looking at our secondary, I can't imagine he will be easy to replace. Unless it's a promotion, who would want to come to a 4-12 team with a secondary that looks like ours?

This is where negativity can cloud your vision. The Cowboys won't have any trouble filling the position. It's the NFL. These jobs are rare. It's just a question of how successful the next guy can be.

I dont think its a very hard sell. If you keep status quo with dbs this team should easily bounce back to compete for a playoff spot next year. Being able to claim a piece of that turnaround wouldmge nice for the resume. I would think you'd rather come to a team looking to improve.

He should take the QB coach with him.

I'll second that motion. New prospective QB candidates would stand to benefit greatly if Wilson were to vanish -- same deal for Pollack. He'll get another shot this year, though, evidently.

Zero problems with Wilson staying as that is Romo's call. Whomever they bring, I hope they get a DB coach who has a different philosophy with schemes and techniques. No more same old.

Romo should have no say on what coach should stay. He will be 36 by next season and someone who can help develope qb for the future

Sounds like a valid observation but there's a fair chance the new secondary coach may have a couple of new DBs with actual ball skills to work with (I hope.)
