He had Carr, Mo, Wilcox, and Church to work with. I challenge you to find a worse starting 4 in the league.
This is the same guy that developed Joe Haden and TJ Ward on a Browns team that was terrible but had a top 3 pass defense.
You can't make chicken salad out of chicken poop, which is exactly what we have him. Amazing that he was able to coach the PS players to INT's, and then gave him crap at basically 4 out of 5 starting positions in the secondary, in a man scheme, and want to blame him for their poor play.
I hope we replace him with someone "better", trust me. But until we upgrade the personnel, we'rd just treading water.
We haven't run a Tampa 2 scheme in years. Marinelli also ran more of a cover 2 in Chicago.
We ran more of a cover 3 last year and more of a Cover 1 this year. Cover 2 is sprinkled in. I'm guessing out thinking was a better pass rush and cover 1 coverage would result in a better product. Unfortunately, Lee is the only guy in the middle of the field with any instincts, Morris/Carr in trail position are terrible and can't locate a ball unless they're staring at the QB
One reason why pick plays killed us is because even 4 years in the league Morris can't figure them out.
Maxie still has the S and I liked him less than Henderson. If Maxie takes over I am going to be disappointed. Claiborne finally practiced and played better. Carr stabilized. The rookie was very good in press man coverage.

Jerome Henderson will no longer be coaching the Dallas Cowboys defensive backs.
According to FOXSports.com, Henderson will be joining the Miami Dolphins' staff.
Henderson, who spent four seasons with the Cowboys, was coaching in the final year of his contract. He interviewed for the Cleveland Browns' head-coaching job on Friday.

Is this where we blame another coach on this never ending assembly line?
Kind of have to.
Unless you are advocating a massive influx of resources spent on cornerbacks.

This is what I have been saying for years. When young cornerbacks come in, they tend to do better because they are playing more off instinct than coaching. Once the coaches have time with them to "fix" them, it seems the cornerbacks play games of chase the rest of their time here.
