There are those who quote Dak's stats - wins, 4th quarter winning drives, etc. to show he's better than average, after which others scream that stats don't tell the story.
Then there are those that say his stats aren't that great, but he wins games, division titles, etc. after which others scream stats are what matters.
Those are contrasting viewpoints, but in reality you have to judge a quarterback by both, though of course wins are more important, after all your ultimate goal is to win the SB, which you can't do if you don't win games to be able to get there.
But to harp on stats or wins alone just isn't realistic. There are numerous quarterbacks with gaudy stats that never won the big game - Marino, Kelly, Moon. And there are quarterbacks who won SBs but haven't got the stats - Plunkett, Johnson, Dilfer.
Yes the quarterback is important, but having the super great quarterback isn't the only way to win a SB, so to insist Dak needs to be replaced because he's not a Brady, Aikman, etc. is taking a narrow view as a Cowboys fan....
