It isn't the standard any of us have to overcome since we are not sitting on a jury in a criminal trial.
You should note it also isn't the standard Goodell will have to overcome when he decides how to punish Hardy. Good chance whomever signs him won't even see him until late October at the soonest.
Goodell is no longer in charge of determining guilt or meting out punishments in regards to the conduct policy in the wake of a series of gaffes and the Rice debacle. He has been replaced institutionally.
We have no idea what information the NFL has or does not have so predicting what they will find is nothing but a wild guess. We have no way of knowing his chances with the NFL. If you thought for sure he was going to convicted here at this trial then perhaps his chances should be reconsidered.
This is conjecture on my part but I do not see the NFL doing anything. They very easily could have meted out punishment following the original bench trial. instead they took a wait and see approach. I don't see this outcome worsening his prospects. Quite the contrary frankly.
