Six pounds surely doesn't seem like enough weight gain to be making a fuss about.

On top of that, he's was likely already back to his normal 225 when his hammy strain occurred.

This is definitely not a biggie -- if that's the worst thing we can pin on him this year, it'll be a major blessing.

I was a trade down guy.
I'm sure Zeke will be fine. He seems so versatile. I'm sure the weight is long gone.

But to those Jalen Ramsey fans, the enthusiasm for hum in the Jags camp has exploded the last three weeks. Coaches and teammates are gushing...they think they have a VERY special player.

No the point of the article was to slander Zeke. They point out that there was some concern about his weight, and he seamlessly transitions that into stories about how much Elliot likes to enjoy himself off the field. They are trying to make it out like Zeke doesn't work at his craft and cares more about off the field stuff than on the field concerns.

Slander? Are you kidding. They heaped praise on the kid.

But the fact of the matter is...is that he showed up overweight.

Again I'm not saying release the kid. But...as I said in the OP...not great to hear.

It wasnt posted because its irrelevant. if they said he came in 15 20 lbs overweight like Lacy id be concerned. Nothing that i have read or heard in interviews about this kid tells me hes lazy or has poor work ethic. In fact, he spends more time in the film room than most people at his position. The fact you are known on the board to have hated this pick and wanted Ramsey is definitely mutually exclusive to the fact you are the one to post an article about your "concern" for him being 6 lbs overweight. What was his body fat percentage? Did that go up? Most likely not. The only reason this is a story is because its about the cowboys, about the leading jersey seller, and because people like you will re post it and give it more air time than it deserves.

This is a non-story. Zeke admitted that when he started camp, he took one look at McFadden and was surprised at how in shape he was. He got a dose of reality on the type of shape an NFL RB has to be in. There's no issue about his current conditioning/weight, so this is much ado about nothing. Jeez, I can't wait for the season to start so we can have some real news.
