Report: Elliott reported to camp overweight

That is the implication though right? Each player has a weight they can not go above. I heard travis frederick on the fan last week and he was talking about how much he likes ice cream but can't eat it during the season because they have strict rules about their weight.

yeah, it is one of those coach things but I wonder if they are similar to the on time rules where some moron coaches think 15 minutes early is late so is 10 lbs under considered overweight ;)

I liked that comment because you said 'poop.'

Yeah, I was going for the cheap like, and apparently it worked. If I throw in a little sarcasm I'll be giving Risen a run for his money soon.

That it was a mistake to draft Ezekiel Elliott.

I don't think it's wise to draft the shortest tenured most injured position in football top 4 when most of the talent is still available in the 2nd and later rounds. And available in free agency in a depressed market.

Or more precisely his idea that a corner has ever been the player that pushed a team over the top.

I have never once said that a corner would push us over the top. So no need for...i'd say hyperbole...but actually you're just lying here.

What I will say is that corners much more often make it to 2nd contracts and the good ones who make it to free agency don't come cheap like the Lamar Millers and Mark Ingrams and Alfred Morris' do.

It is simply about scarcity.

The only possible one exception to that is Deion, and he wasn't a rookie. And I am not sure that isn't a stretch.

I don't know what 'over the top' means exactly, but the notion that CBs aren't impact players in the NFL is, of course, completely ludicrous.

Me, too. It's already preseason week 3 and we've still got presents to open up. Gonna be fun to watch.

After having seen Morris run behind our line, and with the extra burst Zeke has, I'm really pumped up.

Just shows you Jason doesn't run a tight ship.

I'm no fan of Parcells time in Dallas, but he was a stickler for the small details.

You don't judge a coach for a rookie coming in over his goal weight. You judge him by how he handles things when it happens, which it does with some regularity.
