Comparing Jimmy to Deion? Jimmy had coached for over 20 years before coming to Dallas, including winning a national championship. The 49ers even considered him after Walsh retired.
I'm not comparing the guys. If someone wants to argue he's not Jimmy...that's fair enough. But if someone wants to tell me he can't do it because he can only coach college kids? Not for that. I'm not for assuming what will happen. That's how you miss out on a Jimmy Johnson or a Pete Carroll.

Wade phillips, jason garret, McCarthy. Could we get any more bland in terms of personality around this team the past 15 or so years.

The last guy that had any type of personality was bill parcels, and went to the playoffs twice with not nearly enough talent.

I'n not saying Deion would work here. But he'd be a change from the boring bland type of personal we've seen around here. He'd also command instant respect when he walked into the locker room. He also won't let jerry walk all over him. He's a hall of fame veteran type guy... who could hold this team accountable for once. Why not try it.

his potential staff would be REALLY important.
considering how zimmer has helped him since he got into coaching...i bet zimm is back as his dc.
have no idea about oc.
IF this happens.
I could see that because Deion knows that Zimmer understands NFL defense, has had success as a coordinator in the past and has justifiable reasons (mainly injuries) for why the defense wasn't great this year. On top of that, there's that relationship you mentioned.

I wouldn't write off a college coach. But I would be looking for more than a guy who has only coached for 2 years at major college.

Which is crazy because the is no salary cap or roster number on the amount of coaches you have or how much you pay them.
Honestly......when I looked up Deion's staff...I about crapped my pants.....because I've never seen a staff that big. But....to his credit.....It made sense the way he was doing things. Example.....Why have one defensive line coach???? He had a guy that was coaching the defensive tackles.....Warren Sapp.....and another guy coaching the defensive ends. Same for the secondary.....one coach for the corners....one for the safeties.

Because Jerry has said and believes that people produce their best when their backs are against the wall. They also grossly over estimated the team and didn’t think they were sabotaging this season
Yeah I don’t buy it. He’s never gone into a season doing this since when has Jerry believed players are at their best with their backs against the wall? Or coach’s? Jerry doesn’t even believe that lol.

I agree. This team has lacked any real personality or guts or passion since Parcells. And even Big Tuna was bled dry after two years of Jerry. Everyone in this franchise has been so vanilla, like they're moonlighting as press secretaries. Let's spice things up. Sports are entertainment and I certainly would be entertained with Deion at the helm.

Seeing Deion with all that gray facial hair makes not feel so bad about mine. Hire him, Jerry!
