Even if the nerve fired RIGHT NOW he's a long way from football ready. You get ready to play football by playing football. He's missed all the preseason and the first 10 games.

I'm sure he'll be out there next season, I know it's hard to wait.

Thats weird bc Jaylon is literally tweeting at the same time, its firing. Either BB sources dont know or BB is not Jaylon Smith....hmmmm

Just fyi, thats an (obviously) fake Jaylon twitter account.

But what BB says goes against everything we've heard so far. If the drop foot hasn't ceased, there's no chance he's back this year. The muscle would take more than three weeks to strengthen

I hate to be a party pooper, but the chance of him having any impact this year is minimal and it is highly possible that he will struggle next year. I don't base my opinion on his injury, but I base it on the fact that he is a rookie and he will need time to adjust to the game. Add in that he had a very serious knee injury and he may never return to the level of play that he was known for in college. I have nothing against the player, but I do not like the pick at the top of the second round. To make matters worse , there has been two threads a day about his knee nerves firing. IMO, it will be a great accomplishment if he is an average LB in the NFL.

? I follow @thejaylonsmith on Twitter. Here's his last tweet from 6 hours ago:

The next oldest Tweet from Nov. 19th:

Are you seeing Tweets besides these? If so, where?

EDIT: 1 of the first things you learn about Twitter is the prevalence of fake/parody accounts! :p

I think people are just happy he's getting out on the field AT ALL.

i think you're confusing being negative with being realistic. Pretty sure there are no cowboys fans that DON'T want the nerve to fire, that would be negative

Yeah, people hoping the nerve fires soon so he can be rushed out onto the field in mid-December & help in the playoffs are being unrealistic. Everybody hopes he plays for the Cowboys and regains his form, but it is EXTREMELY unlikely it happens this season.

It's all good. He's a futures pick. Jerry & Co. knew the rehab would likely take all of this season.

Not necessarily, Ive witnessed many over the years pat themselves on the back over losses bc they called it and how it would go down beforehand. Some enjoy the misery after indulging themselves in it for so long

i see where ur coming from. you know that very small group of romo fans/dak haters are waiting for dak to lose in the playoffs and come out and say "i told you dak was gona mess it up...Romo would of won it all this year w this team!"

sucks but theres fans who indeed pat themselves with knowing whats gona happen.
