He is a good kid. The kinda person I would root for, regardless of which team he played for. I can't imagine having such a promising career in the game we all dream we could play, at the highest level, come crashing down at the hands of a severe knee injury during the last game of your college season. I heard he is in impeccable condition, physically. I appreciate and respect his very hard work and his strength (mentally and physically) to even give himself a chance.

You have no idea bud. Have you seen this guy play? He will be fine and his knee is 100%. This is the kind of player that can change games.
A rookie coming off major need surgery. I am sure he will dominate. Sean Lee couldn't do it in his rookie year under better circumstances. If his knee is 100%, he would be playing. I seen him play in college. The pro game requires some adjustment due to the speed of the game and more strength is needed. Smith has not played in the pros yet and it will be a tough adjustment . Smith playing will take some time before he catches up
physically and mentally.

I was really pumped about signing Jaylon, probably the most out of all our rookies (including Mr Elliot). Guy can be a real difference maker on D and has a real drive to succeed. The key part being that we had to redshirt him for a year.

Going to be pretty sweet when we are coming off a SB ring to be adding a top 5 level talent to our defence...

If he plays even 1 snap this year it will be both a miracle and bonus. This kid was recruited for the next 5 years of dominance and seems like the kind of guy that is very loyal and likely to pay back our faith in him with interest!

Actually it is. Unless you're dead set on being a grouchy ole negative Nancy.
I don't accept "news" stories on emotion. There has to be actual facts behind it. Where is an official statement from an official Cowboys news source?

Next month at this time: It's regenerating

Board goes crazy, gets 25 pages. Alert me when it's 2018 and he's actually a polished LB and ready to make an impact, if that ever happens.

Ya Dak and Zeke are rookies and need time to adjust to the nfl. You are so smart, glad to have you on this forum to give us all this inside and great information
I said that it is my opinion and it is the right one. Dak or Zeke wasn't a cripple in their first game.

Activating Smith is basically a reward for doing well in rehab and gives him a few more weeks to work with the team.

Regen is not the same as firing and he still has a hill to climb. There is no chance of him seeing the field until 2017 IMO.

This just makes it more confusing. It was supposed to be regenerating all along. Maybe this is why they have been so quiet. What has it been doing for the past 9 months if it wasn't regenerating? The nerve should have finished growing the full 6 inches a month ago. If it just started growing, that's not really good news. That's way behind schedule and could mean it never gets right. Like I said, this is totally confusing. Its supposed to be firing by now, not just starting to grow. That would mean 6-9 months of growing to go, waiting for it to fire, and then who knows how much rehab. That could be well into next season.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Or, you could also call it a "process," as JG would say. The nerve is growing -- that 's a good thing. ;)
