Don't be too scared to add CB too. Proceed with caution but one could argue.

I think we should draft a CB every year. Hit the lottery with Brown apparently, but that position is so hard to play and there are so many injuries. It's the defensive equivalent of WR. Can never have enough of them.

Ain't that the truth. Romo haters are notorious for that. And now Risen is waiting on pins and needles for Dak to have a bad game so he can come out from under his rock and gloat.

Dunno about 'his rock' but Dak WILL have a bad game in the next 4 weeks...maybe two. The guy is human and we have some tough roadies coming up. That said, I think they'll stick with him unless it's a playoff game and then all bets are off. As I said in another thread last week: I'd LOVE to blow out a team or two the next few weeks and get Tony, Morris and DMac some decent playing time.

I said last night. EMG reports improved but still no sensation in nerve to help raise his foot up.

What is News: EMGs improved but still foot drop - logical, but has never been mentioned before. Need to talk to the PhDs about it.
Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). Motor neurons transmit electrical signals that cause muscles to contract. An EMG translates these signals into graphs, sounds or numerical values that a specialist interprets.

Potential bad news for playing THIS season - Broaddus just said something medically based that the nerve is improving but he still has footdrop. There is no way Broaddus came up with the word EMG without some medical person telling him about it.
If he actually has this inside info and it is current update info, then highly unlikely Jaylon plays this year. This is kind of contradictory to activating Jaylon from NFI, because if he still has foot drop now, how in the world would he rehab completely etc. He can rehab, but probably not totally. Also if he has footdrop, Jaylon must be wearing the brace ALL THE TIME, which conflicts with some of the videos and pictures we have seen. Very strange.

Again, I will ask about this and post what I found out. May take some time.

Loudmouth is on the air every damn day. He never once mentioned Jaylon's status. I get the impression that he's a twitter sensationalist. He writes what his mouth doesn't back up.

You havent been keeping up then by you comments. the knee is 100% has nothing to do with his injury right now. The problem has been to get his nerve to regenerate and then start firing. Of course there is an adjustment to the pro game, but you make it sound like he is years away from establishing him self in the NFL. This is not your average player we are talking about here. he is the kind of player that if he can get on the field can make an impact sooner than later. How long did it take Zak and Zeke to fit in, to the big adjustment of the NFL game compared to College? Exactly, sometimes adjustments to the pro game are over blown for some players.

But Dak and Zeke weren't coming off injuries. And not just a ligament injury. Jaylon is trying to come back from a damaged nerve.

True, but I think this kid will overcome all this and be a stud for us.

I don't think this conflicts with any videos or pictures we've seen. It just conflicts with some of the lies people have told about them.

Broaddus is basically just confirming what we could already tell by reading between the lines and ignoring fan and Twitter hype.

He was the kind of player you described. Now he is injured with an uncertain future.

I just heard Mickey say on the radio that Jaylon wasn't allowed to be in meetings with the team and that is the main reason the Cowboys brought him up.

He's not playing this year guys. It's over.

Fisher is also reporting the nerve is NOT firing.

Fisher knows this because he moonlights as a doctor?

Guys like Fisher and Broaddus do not like being outsiders looking in for exclusive insight from Jerry. Sad truth is, Gil Brandt has Jerry's ear and is privy to information these others guys are not. Too bad.

Sidenote: One reason I do not subscribe to Fish's magazine is because there is nothing exclusive in it.

Mike Fisher probably has the best access to the team outside of anyone that doesn't work for the team website.

True, but he has never really been close to Jerry and that is where real immediate information comes from. He may call himself the "Jerry Whisperer" but he is not the Jerry Thinkerer. :)

EMGs are no fun - you get a very 1940's feel on the table anticipating some question along the lines of: "vere are zee papers young man?"

I hope he comes back 100 percent. Just imagine our team with a healthy Jaylon Smith to go with Dak, Zeke and Anthony Brown from this draft. But I'm almost 99.999 percent sure he's not coming back this year.

lol i'm getting to this point. can't believe people are getting sucked into the thought of him playing this year.
I know what you mean, but I think what a lot of the people want to know/see (myself included) is simply that he is recovered to the point of his foot being fully functional so that he has at least a chance at being an impact player for us. I certainly don't expect him to make any impact for us this year, but I sure would like to know that he will be out there with the other guys come OTA's and/or training camp next season.

Yeah that's all I want as well. I just want to hear that everything is firing before the season ends so he can go into the offseason with a normal routine. I'm a little concerned b/c according to all the mega-threads we had on this topic, the timelines prognosticated that it was supposed to happen btw October and November. December is around the corner so I'm a little worried.

Not likely, a non-medical person does not bring up the term "EMG" out of nowhere.

He clearly said "EMG improving" but he still has foot drop.
