Didn't she text him that she would ruin his life if he left her? If anything this is a postive. The cowboys knew about it, everyone knows what happened. NFL just being super careful because if the disaster that was the Ray Rice case. But that was 100% on them. They even saw the video.

Exactly. You know who doesn't give over phone records?

Tom Brady and Aaron Hernandez.

Why?

Because they had something to hide.

EE gave over phone records likely as proof that his loony ex-gf is gold digging.

Yeah its been reported that she sent him text saying exactly what she was going to do, as well as text telling her friend to go along with the scam

What's it going to be then, eh?

Too lazy to read the rest of the thread, but the only key thing I want to know is what cell phone records were turned over.

If it was the girl friend or whatever, not worried. Elliott? Worried.

Why exactly did it take this long to ask for his phone records? This investigation started a year ago, and they just NOW go for the phone records. Has to be the most embarrassing "investigation" I have seen the NFL make. Especially bad when you consider how little they did with that Giants kicker last year, when there was so much clear evidence.

I disagree. I shouldn't have to give my phone records to an employer with no subpoena power. You cannot trust them to protect personal unrelated information as shown in the deflate gate case. They conduct their investigation and prove I did something wrong by available public information or drop it.

My Take:

The college and the local constabulary decline to pursue any type of disciplinary or punitive actions against Elliott.

The league now steps in. There is no swift justice here. This hangs over his head as the team moves into a new season. Now I might be okay with this if the league had an impartial arbitrator to look at these things and come to a conclusion what, if anything, should be done. But having the league office, who is paid by the league owners, who have 32 different allegiances makes this not justice, but a toe hold on beating your competition if Elliott is forced to sit.

There is nothing which will assuage the notion this is special interests acting out from their clandestine power positions to cheat the Cowboys, as they did in the punishment meted out about the no cap season and this gossamer agreement of not violating the spirit of the cap by unique contracts.

This smells of Mara and another dose of bull stools because he is corrupt and hates this team.

Just my opinion.

What is right and what is best sometimes do not converge. BY putting it all out there you are making a statement I have nothing to hide. In this current world where PR matters over anything substantive that is the way to go. You have to be aggressive and confront this kind of witch hunt. That was the route Lael Collins took; he did not hide and bob and weeve he and his agent were right out in front.

Frankly I think anyone that puts any real sensitive personal information on the web or phone or any place like that is a moron.

A phone is for phone numbers and addresses and if that Is a threat to you then you are in a lot bigger trouble then you think.

The witch hunt continues.

The jelly spine NFL has to show it is proactive towards violence against women so that the women organizations will stop bullying them. An emerging superstar would be a real catch, perhaps enough to where Goodal will be allowed to remove the nipple clips and mouthball.

Our last bastions of manhood are being systematically eradicated. Soon, man caves will be illegal, only flavored beer will exist, NFL games will cease to be televised and replaced by craft shows, and begging your wife for sex will be considered harassment.

The female investigator they hired is also a Giants fan. No bias here really.
