I disagree. I shouldn't have to give my phone records to an employer with no subpoena power. You cannot trust them to protect personal unrelated information as shown in the deflate gate case. They conduct their investigation and prove I did something wrong by available public information or drop it.
It's like two very different scenarios.
EE is likely showing phone records that clear him. Brady *destroyed* his phone because he was hiding something.
While I don't care for how the NFL handled DeflateGate,I don't know what personal unrelated information from the text messages that was used against Brady. McNally and Jastremski had phones from the New England Patriots which made it NFL property and over a year had discussed deflating footballs per Brady's request and doing so for money. All the rest is made up nonsense from Kraft and blind lemming Patriots supporters.
I certainly wouldn't want it to become 'a thing' where I'm handing over my phone every time somebody thinks I'm cheating, but it wasn't for Brady and he destroyed his phone because he had something hide. Just like Hernandez tried to conceal evidence and wouldn't even say a word to cops at the time he murdered Odin Lloyd. Or like the Patriots and the NFL destroying the tapes from SpyGate. You got something to hide...you're going to try and hide it. If you don't have something to hide...then there's no reason to hide.
