I think that's a good solution, it takes the opportunity for stuff like this to enter into the game.

I don't care what any of the players do until after the whistle blows, but I am curious if some posters on here and fans carry through with their claims to renounce the team. I could see some of my very close family members having a real issue.

Keep a list ..........we'll see next week ( no question SOME players will protest tonight and certain posters are promising to leave the Cowboys AND the NFL. We'll see..........

Don't be on the wrong side of history. This is bigger than Kaepernick now, unfortunately. These guys aren't doing anything evil or sinister, they don't hate the country or the flag... they just want equality.

It's a noble cause to protest for, even if you think it's the wrong forum.

Here's the reality, toots. This country is headed quickly toward violence that will make the Civil War look like a spitball fight. That knucklehead that got elected isn't the reason; he's the result. Antifa looks primed to go full ISIS in the near future. The crazy white nationalists will respond in kind. Everything will end. Sports, entertainment, education, safety, security.....everything.

The media loves this. They stoke it at every turn. They have given all their tools and resources to it. Soros puppets the strings.

We oldies won't have a say in the end. You guys will have to figure it out.

The simple answer is that the NFL is full of black people who are unhappy with the state of the country. I can't put it more simply than that.

The NFL hasn't purged all the people who have done anthem protests because if they did it would cause like 1/2 the talent to revolt against the league.

NFL allowed it to escalate, and I have no problem and i do understand why people will stop watching. I'm not AS outraged as most, it's more about what follows it, from the POTUS, from sports media, to friends and family discussing it. It becomes overbearing.

To those annoyed on either side, just go to another medium. Catch up on some reading, play your favorite video games, watch some movies. Eventually the NFL is going to have to step in and take action, this doesn't seem to be a positive.

In the end, it's going to be lose-lose.

Count me out tonight, I watch sports to escape the real world for a few hours and I can no longer deal with this political anthem bs. The only way to let the NFL know we're truly tried of it, is to boycott the ish out of these games.

The Cowboys have not had a player join the national anthem protest since Colin Kaepernick became a face of the movement last season. That will change tonight, according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Not every player might participate, according to Hill, but at least some will.

“It’s not going to be business as usual,” a player told Hill. “[President Trump] crossed a line. Something will be done.”

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Saturday he did not expect any of his players to protest. That, though, came before Sunday’s outpouring of protests around the league. Some teams linked arms. Some stayed in the locker room for the national anthem. Some had individual players take a knee.

Garrett has made it clear he likes his team to stand during the national anthem.

“The national anthem is sacred. Our flag is sacred. And our team has demonstrated that,” Garrett said last month.

Jason is right that the Flag may seem sacred....guess he doesn't have an ounce of interest about the real cause of Kap's stance even though JG is not subject/likely to some inappropriate law enforcement behavior that generally yields NO ACCOUNTABILITY.....nor that Kap consulted with Military members in San Diego and compromised that taking a knee would be more appropriate in their eyes (after sitting on the bench previously), nor that Kap is not talking about the Fine/Good law enforcement officers....nor that Kap clearly stated his intent is not about the military members .......guess a lot of us don't even want to touch the real issue at all.

If one Cowboy kneels tonight I'll still root for the team....cause I fought for them to have that right and my oath says Support and Defend the Constitution..

Bingo!!!!!!!! ....doesn't bother me one bit. Been through waaaaay to much crap to worry about whether or not an individual ( I don't know BTW) chooses to exercise his constitutional right. Not to mention I have over 35+ plus years invested and few players going force me out?
