Then hold him. If the Cowboys are willing to make a June 1 designation anyway with Romo, then there is no benefit to cutting him now. So you hold him. Maybe you then cut him right after the draft, etc.

If Denver and Houston are going to wait it out then Romo will still have them as a potential landing spot in the future. So from the perspective of Romo being able to find a good landing spot in the future, that's not going to be an issue.

There is no reason to cut him in the next week or so.

Don't see it playing out that way at all Sydla...for a myriad of reasons. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm pretty sure kc is serious with not wanting Romo. They have no need really. They'll draft a guy to take Alex's spot and keep doing what they do.

Everyone clamoring to keep him and not give him up for nothing are the same ones who felt that team chemistry was so important so Romo shouldn't get his job back once healthy last season. If the team chemistry thing is real, then you don't want to have a disgruntled Romo hanging around this off season or season.

You must have a really low opinion of Romo then if you think he's going to be a problem if we hold him for a month or so.

Any other team would have the advantage. The Cowboys don't because the owner has feelz for Romo. He will release him.

I think Garrett and Stephen are talking Jerry out of his feelings. Romo's relationship with Jerry is strong. Right now, it's a "who blinks first" contest, and like Aaron and Hur held up Moses' arms so the Israelites would prevail against their enemies, Stephen and Garrett are holding Jerry's eyelids open so he won't blink first.

They are using McClain like the Cowboys would Fisher.

Exactly, hes being spoon fed his responses in advance. Its obvious. Let them sweat, Romo is worth more with each passing day.

It could but, at this stage probably not now. Jerry tried to get someone to make a bid on Tony yesterday
and no team bit. My guess, they have read the tea leaves and will just wait Jerry out having
deciphered the "DoRight" rule. Tony will get a new team but, picks for Jerry not so much.

Teams that need a quality quarterback will still need a good quarterback. Oh, panick will set in and just because it's the Cowboys or Jerry Jones, doesn't mean that the Cowboys can't also force issues and be successful as other teams with less to offer. What? They have a L stamped on their foreheads?

Jerry and Romo met Tuesday and Romo put no request on Jerry to release him immediately....this according to jerry.
But if he held him all the way though the draft, I'd think that would definitely stomp out the do-right thing, both ways.
Not that many here care, but I think they do.

I don't really think Denver has real interest unless he can be had for cheap on the open market. They were 8-4 pre-injury with Seimien, they may see Tony as a progress stopper for both their young QBs--one of which they traded up to get in the 1st round.

Maybe Houston will do something, but it makes sense for them to wait vs bid against themselves.

The problem I would have, if I were Romo, with either Denver or Houston now would be, "you didn't want to trade for me???".

This report falls into the "Duh" category. Like I posted yesterday, Denver and Houston wi will just wait it out until he is released. Unless Kansas City swoops in out of nowhere with a trade offer, Romo will be released.

That last sentence is exactly the scenerio we need. We have to have one team that is willing to swoop in and play keep away. Then everything changes.

What would be nice if Coughlin convinced the Jags into going after Romo. They could be a contender with him, at least in the division. Plus they could pay him more then anyone.
That would be mind blowing.

QB's are being discussed and traded right now. If some team was interested in Tony Romo at 37, they would already have placed that call to Jerry.
Teams know that if Jerry released Tony, he most likely will have several suitors. Any team could have him for a song and draft pick right now but,
Jerry's phone is quiet.

Oh, and you have just what insider information to back up your 'claims?'

It's not like Garrett doesn't have two 12 win seasons in three years, oh, and Jerry Jones is really a babe in the woods...and what is true for every team, doesn't mean that all teams have plans right now, that evolve...never mind.
