RIP Kobe Bryant ** respectful posts only! **

I just got off a plane and heard the news. Shocking. I can’t remember a superstar like this passing unexpectedly. I hate the NBA because I am a Knicks fan. That said this is a shocker and his loss is huge. Pray for his family and the families of the others lost.

Just sad.

How many celebrities have been lost in private aircraft crashes (mostly airplanes)? Buddy Holly, Jim Croce, Ronnie Van Zandt, John Kennedy, Davey Allison, John Denver, Steve Fossette et al. Sad that they were able to have the freedom to bypass the hassles of commercial flying yet it resulted in their deaths.

Life's not fair, to be sure....

Also Patsy Cline, Ricky Nelson.

Sean Taylor was the last one I think. I mean he wasn’t Kobe freaking Bryant of his sport but he was a star.

Davey Allison was killed in a helicopter crash.

I am struggling with this one hard... I’ve never had a famous persons death just tear me up inside. Chester Bennington was probably the closest since his cousin is a good friend of mine, but this Kobe one is just eating me up. And Gigi man? So horrible, like why?

its tearing me up and I couldn’t stand Kobe as a basketball player....absolutely loathe the Lakers and he was their best guy

but darnit even if you couldn’t stand Kobe the way he went about business the work ethic the mamba mentality to rip a mans heart out and do the electric slide on it was something to be desired

when he retired i was like ohhh pheww now i can go back and really appreciate the games he played and not be angry

im really gonna miss him

RIP Kobe Bryant and my condolences to his family.

Still can't quite wrap my head around this news. We truly live in a day to day world. Enjoy life, your loved ones, and the things you enjoy as much as you can every single moment. That's all I can think of right now.

Can't remember where I saw this video first, but it was one of the first things that came to mind right after I heard the news:

I wonder if she forgets some facts or were things different back then? Kobe was drafted by the Hornets out of high school.

I’m not trying to degrade the moment right now, but could you imagine if this happened Super Bowl Sunday? Because I couldn’t. I had to change the channel from anything sports cause my mind is racing with this news.
