***Rip on Romo Thread***

Once again it's over reaction Sunday and this post sums it up. Romo was bad today, he'll be good again, then bad again, the most likely good again. It's four freaking games, we just have to be in the mix at the end and take our chances.

By the way, what do you want him to do? Rant and rave and swear and kick things so then people can call him immature?

Bad post on a bad day. Move on.

I want him to stop doing what he said he would stop doing years ago!

On Twitter, Jimmy Johnson just said that Romo still doesn't understand situational football.

And I bet he emails Garrett and tells him he still doesn't understand it, either.

actually I think the problem is that since he has been annointed as THE LEADER this year, he thinks he has to make more plays. Especially with the O line in transistion. This is like he was his first year or so as a starter after BP left; he felt he had to make more plays.

Little OT, but gonna say it anyway.

Biggest meltdown loss in franchise history. Isn't it fair that it's also met with this kind of criticism?

well thats his idol

He isn't Favre, he is mini-Favre. Favre was such a marvelous physical specimen he could get away with throwing bone-crushing INTs on a frequent basis. He managed to get to 4 NFC Championship games, 2 Superbowls and even win one of them.

Tony isn't quite the player Favre and therefore makes it all the harder to stomach the fairly regular bone-headed plays.

Probably gonna watch the game again, I think Robinson will probably get my offensive player of the week vote, not sure on a defense, a lot to pick from.
I blame you for this loss by the way. I knew we were in trouble when I saw a Kicker in your sig pic. I wasn't going to say anything, but now you must be accountable.

You want to know why we can't win a Super Bowl with him?

Consistency.

You have to win at least 3 in a row.

Bingo!

And it's why it'll never happen with him. And can you imagine if we actually got that far only to have Romo throw a couple of pick 6's to blow a double digit lead and the SB?

Wow 689 replies. I am usually a Romo apologist, but today, I can't do it. Those 3 picks just killed us. PERIOD. Now I will give him a slight break on the slant to Robinson, Robinson has to cross that defenders face or it will get picked.

But the other two picks were just brutally bad!! That loft over Carpenter, WOW, Barbie does nothing the 4 years he is here and viola, he looks all pro on that interception. I think he baited Romo into trying the lob pass. Romo has to get rid of that lob.

After all that, we are clinging to a 3 point lead and we have the ball, Romo has to be aware of the situation. Four minutes left and we have the ball, we get a couple of first downs and maybe seal the win. YOU CANNOT lob the ball over the middle of the field. I know he was under duress, but take a sack or lead Witten enough to wear he gets it or no ones else does!! Instead we give the Lions the ball on our side of the field and let them march right in.

AGONY!! Romo was brilliant for 32 minutes of the game. The last 28 was horrible. Now mind you because of the lack of the running game, we will not be able to sit on leads and pound it out. So I am not going to fault the play calling. Romo just has to make better decisions than that.

He cost us that game. Period.

best post in the entire thread.

I said this week 1. I don't see this team ever winning a Super Bowl with him.

Our 'crappy O-Coordinator' put up 30 points with this team that is still extremely banged up. All he asked is for his veteran QB to not make decisions and throws like a moron.

It never ceases to amaze me how people still blindly stick up for the guy.

So the crappy OC put up 30...Did Romo put up 30 as well?

Romo and the pathetic play calling also lead directly to the 17 points that cost us the game.

Sometimes you bring some good stuff to threads. This isn't one of those times.

You say this knowing full well he's the best we have on the roster AND we are tied to him.

OF COURSE fans are going to stick up for him, because they like you understand he's all we got.

Just another in a long line of players that gave us hope but ultimately let us down.

I'm in no mood to defend Romo, Garrett, or even the Cowboys as a whole for that matter right now...But I will say that I think the response and the reaction has been overblown. Brady threw 4 ints last week and hardly a word was said. Yes, he's also won 3 SB's but that doesn't take away the fact that he lost a very winnable game for his team against Buffalo, just as Romo did today.

Good QB's have bad games sometimes. And Romo still has far more good games then bad ones. He's still the same QB that led us to a comeback win with broken ribs and grinded it out last week against the skins when everything around him was falling apart...Does anyone remember that guy?

I see what you are saying. But the fact remains that Romo threw at least two costly ints. Brady's performance does not take that away.

Garrett and Romo are virtuosos at their profession. They just don't know when to tap the brakes and play for the W. Old school is what we needed. These guys were going for another TD. Punt the dang ball and make them earn it. Run the ball and eat the clock.

It's kind of sad, really. We are LOADED with talent.

I think Sparano in the booth calling plays could fix everything. I really do.

Not even in the same league as those guys, but thanks for opening up another bash Romo thread.

The frustrating thing about ROmo is just when you get behind him and feel like he can turn it around and finally learn he does this. I want him to succeed and prove his critics wrong but he keeps doing this.

Good Romo in the first half and bad in the second. I don't want his bashers to be proven right about not being able to lead this team to the Super bowl, No Cowboy fans does, but he makes it hard for the fan base to defend and support him
