RKG concept paying off

It borders on irrational.......the type of stuff you see about 'other' teams or players...not one of our own

Not one of his critiques are legit
Has he ever been out of shape and I'm not referring to first games back after injury.

You Dez detractors (I don't particularly like the word "hater," tho, admittedly, I am guilty of using it from time to time, but I digress).
I will give you a like for this. But I will retain the right to take it away if you use the term "hater" in the future.

Dez either dissed you in the club, stole your girl or kicked your dog.....this is too personal

It is not about getting boys scouts.

It is about getting players that maximize their potential and talent.
So we agree. You just say it much better.

BTW I was referring to some of the posts earlier in this thread, not the original start.

You're normally one of most logical posters here. I don't know how you can deny that Dez has at least some of the issues that I listed. I don't even remember the quote from 2014 that you referenced. I just know that he has often been out of shape both during the season and coming in to training camp. The Cowboys own website has reported it in the past and it has been obvious in regular and/or pre-season games.

I didn't even mention the missed meetings. Being late occasionally would be understandable, but he has just blown off many meetings. It didn't get much publicity until he blew off the MRI this season, but he has been doing it for a long time. Part of my angst is probably with Jerry for enabling him.

I have not been to "the club" since Dez was old enough to be in a club.

My girl thinks Dez is gross. The only Cowboys player that she does not find gross is Mark Sanchez.

If he kicked my dog, he would likely be missing a leg now.

I was a fan of Dez originally and I tolerated his antics but at some point I just got tired of it.

If I thought he was maximizing both his own potential and the Cowboys chances of winning on a consistent basis, then I would overlook his on and off field antics; however, that is just not the case. He is a drain on coaches and some other players and is often a distraction during games. He drops a lot of balls that he should catch, does not always block on running plays and does not always run the correct routes.

I didn't start this thread to criticize Dez. I was just thinking about how nice it is that the knuckleheads are minimal and the team is not dependent on the ones that remain.

The Cowboys have very few character issue players now and they're not dependent on the ones they do have.

Gregory
RoMc if Jerry hangs on to that nightmare.
Dez

My belief is the right kind of guy is a play maker. Character is involved in regard to the player living up to his contract with all other players on the team and doing the work required to be your best.

Charles Haley is indicative of what I mean. Charles was a head case in San Francisco. But he delivered leadership in Dallas, except for a couple of instances, and did the back end work we as fans don't see. Weights and film and meetings.

That is the right kind of guy to me.
