You Dez detractors (I don't particularly like the word "hater," tho, admittedly, I am guilty of using it from time to time, but I digress) are clinging on some awfully flimsy agenda/narrative. If you hated the hold-out, the big contract, injury and slow start, etc, just say it. It's getting kind of ridiculous at this point that you cite this "oogie boogie" locker room "cancer" as a way to discredit him. It's tired and lazy. And most importantly, false.

Stop making these foolish claims. Please.

Or not, whatevs. I'll be here in his corner.

Its racism mostly.

The fashion, the grammer, the X sign - these things trigger subconscious racism. I bet you 95% of the posters in this forum that hate on Dez are not african american. Am I wrong?

Sheeeeeeeeeeet!

I love me some Michael Irvin.... just to throw in a "black" Dallas receiver.... I loved ne some T.O. too....
Butler, yup, love him too.

Love me some Zeke...

I don't care if they break dance, moonwalk or do the MC Hammer...
Heck.... I don't care if they throw up black panther fists!

Oh yeah, I'm white!

I have met Dez several times, and know people who deal with him on a daily basis. The guy is a whiny ***** in real life.
Yeah right.........and if you did I bet you kissed his butt and didn't call him any names while asking for his autograph

Whats up with you're recent Dez hate?
With all due respect to you, if you think the media exaggetates his issues, I get it.; however if you make a list of guys that hold themselves or the team back due to behavioural type issues, I don't see how Dez is not on that list.

He does not maximize his talent, IMO. He has often been out of shape and has had to get IVs during games more than anybody I can remember. Maybe it's sometimes from being too hyped, but whatever the reason it's not helping the team.

He has often been a distraction for various reasons.

He has dogged it on the field even recently and was called out by coaches.

He held out and came back out of shape. He thought he had to get Megatron money despite not being Megatron talent. Second highest paid WR at about 14M per was an insult.

He has never been known as a good route runner or film room type player.

Jerry redid his contract in the early years to advance him money because the jeweler and others were seeking legal action. He showed loyalty by immediately threatening to holdout when contract negotiations were stalled.

He was too good to carry shoulder pads like other rookies. Many hall of fame players paid their dues as rookies but he was just too good for all of that. They exaggerated the rookie dinner costs because of his refusal on the shoulder pads and other issues which was a sign that some players had issues with him.

He has obvious concentration issues. He is likely to drop easy catches when he was not the primary receiver on a play. He was wide open on a 5 yard crossing pattern in the Cleveland game and dropped a perfect pass.

He continued to rant in at least one game about interference even after the Cowboys scored a TD.

A lot of your reasons are reaches.

Needing an IV is a hydration issue.

TE play he was "loafing" on last week was clearly him looking back at Dak under pressure and looking to see if he needed to come back to him.

Dez had a bad game last week for his standards.

But this stuff with Dez being a bad character guy is a big bunch of trash that I can't believe someone like you could buy into.

How do you not see that you're seriously nit picking and you're falling for the lightning rod BS that the media takes advantage of. You got sucked.

Shows how wrong I can be. I never thought the RKG shtick was about finding Boy Scouts or guys you'd want your daughter to date. To me it was more about players willing to do whatever it takes to meet team goals & work ethic, etc.

Maybe the next draft will have some Howdy Doodys who can kick some butt.

It is not fair to include Dez in with the others.
Why?

If a player has ever performed below his talent level repeatedly due to something other than a physical issue, then his mental makeup has to be questioned.

If a player's actions have ever distracted coaches and other players, then his mental makeup has to be questioned.

Has Dez ever underperformed due to a non-physical issue?

Has Dez ever distracted coaches and/or other players?

My reference to character is basically any negative due to a non-physical issue.

Coaches sometimes call it poor mental-makeup.

It borders on irrational.......the type of stuff you see about 'other' teams or players...not one of our own

Not one of his critiques are legit

1. Of course he has underperformed.. Any player that has ever played in the NFL has underperformed.

2. I can't recall a time when he has been some kind of big distraction that really effected anything. The media loves to pick on him and blow up anything he does like sagging in the mall.

I think you're wayyyy off on this one and you've got suckered by the National media drama.

It is not about getting boys scouts.

It is about getting players that maximize their potential and talent.

I don't follow the national media.
