Rob to the Saints

Cheer up.
I'm sure we can find another below average late round O-Lineman in the near future.

LOL

i know he wasn't spectacular up till now, but i thought he had a huge upside.

Glad to hear he was picked up right away. Goodluck to the both of you.

I think Rob will flourish, and given some time to develop and get some solid coaching, he will turn into a very good player for a long time.

I wish him luck, but I don't think we'll regret releasing hiim.

Good luck to your son Pittdawg.

I hope he has a very sucessful career!

I always like it when hard work and determination pays off and I know he did everything he could while in Dallas!

Ditto.

pittdawg tell Rob that big dog cowboy wishes him nothing but the best. Hard working guys like can be hard to find and he deserves some success.

petitti has just a li'l over a year under his belt in this league. as with CBs, OTs are in constant demand. the kid is raw material and in need of the right coaching. that crusty the tuna saw fit to cut him shouldn't be perceived as any kinda "final word" on the guy (as if any of BPs O-line moves during a 3-year tenure have been golden:rolleyes: ).

back-handed "fare-thee-wells" including desparaging, not to mention premature, assessments of the ceiling on petitti's talent - are sickeningly disingenuous and dayum condescending. you're patting him on the back until a small bullethole appears between your fingers.

pittdawg has handled his stint here with class and dignity. it's a shame some of us have to take a parting shot at the guy - subtle or not.

Happy to hear the news! I hope your son is taking notes.

He'll have a book in him by the time his NFL career has run its course.

Looks like Bob Dole's last post got deleted, oh well - let's try it again.

Pittdawg it was very nice of you to post here, and it has been great having you provide insights about Rob and the team.

People here hoping Pettiti has a hall of fame career (unless that was just sarcasm), are ridiculous. Why on earth would you want that to happen?

Bob Dole doesn't wish your son luck Pittdawg, nor does Bob Dole hope that your son has a successful NFL career, because that would mean that the Cowboys made a mistake in releasing him.

Good day.

I was hoping the Titans would take a look at him, but figured the Texans or Saints could really use the help too and had the order advantage. Ah well, good luck to him.

Maybe Bob the reason you got your asz kicked in the presidential election was because you have no class.

Where do your priorities lie, with Rob Pettiti or with the Dallas Cowboys?

Bob Dole's are with the Cowboys.

I want to take this opportunity to wish Copper the best of luck. I hope when the Saints play us that he punks Newman real good, just to prove we were wrong to release him.
I also wish his dad, ECUdawg the best.

:D :laugh2: :D

;)

Thank God it wasn't the skins. Whew. I'd of had to root for him incognito. Best news I've had all week. Congrats to him and your family. Thanks for updating us Pittdawg, I'll be rooting for him.

Uh, no. That wasn't the reason.

Right now I still think it was the wrong move. I don't understand why Parcells would cut a talented young tackle. I'm sure Payton wet his pants the second he heard Rob was cut. Payton understands his talents and abilities and brought him on board. I'll try to follow his career and wish him luck.

Congrats to your family that he's found a new team. Good luck to Rob!

Bob Dole's are with the Cowboys.

Rooting against former Cowboys just so the team won't be proven wrong is just dumb. You don't have to be a member of Rob's family to wish the young man well, just a decent human being.

rob will be flying to new orleans tonight to join his new team the saints. rob was told by his agent that payten couldn't believe his good fortune when the cowboys released rob and took him after the texans passed. i know alot of dallas fans didn't like rob, but i think the saints do and will give rob every opportunity to succeed. unlike the opinions of some, i think rob played very well in preseason and has a tremendous upside.

i truely hope that the o-line gets the job done for you and dallas has a very successful season. i can't help but feel that rob's career will continue to flourish with the saints and all will end well.

see you in dec, no way i'm missing that game.

tell rob there are some cowboys fans who will/do miss him, i sure do. damn it bill! but non-the less good luck and hopefully he will become the next great OT.

little o/t how does it feel to know your kids in the nfl? i would like crap my pants everytime i saw something about my boy if he played in any major sport.

This is just wrong.

Sorry your son was cut. Them's the breaks.

But secretly rooting for the skins because of a 7th round draft choice?

Where are your priorities in life, man?
