This feel a lot like Dez / Hurns last year. Hopefully they've learned their lesson.

I sure hope so!

Unless they have a trade worked out for Lawrence that involves a first round pick - plus...

Then even I would think about it.

That might be a hard task to accomplish. Dee Ford went for a 2nd and Lawrence needs surgery (which is a good gambit on his part since it makes dealing him harder for the Cowboys).

3rd in 2020 seems rich. Maybe a 4th with a chance to be a third?

If we can get Quinn and trade Lawrence for a package like 1st, and 3rd. I would definitely consider. Especially if the 1st is in the top 15 of draft. I do not really see a need to spend 20+ million on an end rusher. I love Lawrence and all but I would rather draft a replacement and gain a pick or two.

He isn't the do all end all of this defense. I don't by it. I would rather spend heavily on retaining LVE and Smith at LB spot.

True, but I think Lawrence is the more well-rounded player overall. And his last two years jump off the page while Ford has been inconsistent.

But if it is, that's fine, I just keep Lawrence.

They might be doing it just to make DLaw think they have other options.

I would bring in all the available DEs for a visit if I wanted DLaw to sign a contract.

Why in the world are we talking about Quinn as a Lawrence replacement?

This better be a Gregory replacement and we keep Lawrence.

No, been reported it's in addition to Dlaw, has been reported it has nothing to do with Tank.

Again, I hope so. If nothing else, they do still need a viable RDE option given Gregory's suspension.

He has no job security.

And yeah he has. They gave him the franchise tag and he took it to the chin. Now they are giving it to him again....just trade him if you don't value him. You're going to keep franchise tagging him until he's 30 and then sign him long term? Its stupid.

He took getting paid like 20 million a year "on the chin", boys.

And rewarded the team with playing injured all year. Something he plans to do again if he has to take another 20 million dollar blow on the chin.

This guy is basically Gandhi, if you think about it. Give him the deal he wants so he can get his surgery.

As much as I would like Quinn to be an addition to Lawrence. This is only possible if Lawrence signs for under 20 million annually.

We've seen more reports that ended up wrong than the ones that were correct since free agency started this year.

Well if they are just eating lunch, what else do you want...lol
Not trying to pick a fight here, and I’m not trying to be argumentative...

Once we know that Quinn is there visiting, we don’t (IMO) need an update letting us know they’re eating lunch at lunchtime.

It didn’t hurt anything for us to find that out, of course, but (again IMO) it smacks of him just trying to sound plugged in. I probably wouldn’t have mentioned it except that I read many things from him that gives that impression. Like he’s a name dropper.

Feels like he’s just trying to make potential subscribers think he’s right in the thick of things.

It just rubbed me the wrong way... but you’re probably right and I’m being a little too sensitive with it.

That would be a dumb thing to do since no one they bring in will be as impactful as he was last year.
