Robert Saleh at the Star for in person interview today

Great point on everything. KK gets too much flack and he's been really good when he can run his scheme with good players to implement it. Bienemy got exposed for what he is, a fair play caller but nothing special. Until these hot shot coordinator types get a gig and prove it as a hc, it's extremely high risk. I think you need someone first and foremost that can lead men by there presence and natural people skills. That's where young guys buy in. The scheme is secondary. If we hire Saleh for HC, I hope it's the right move. Deion, we know he can command a room. But will NFL players buy in?
Correct to add to that Kliff Kingsbury already failed once ,as a head coach but sometimes you go back in and you get humbled and you have some success maybe the second time around you can do better at least he's been a head coach in the NFL before I'm not advocating him but that about those three he be the less risk. IMHO.

I think most of these interviews is what I'm thinking they're being asked who is going to be your staff what schemes are you going to run and what's your plan how are you going to fix what you saw of the dallas cowboys in 2024?

I mean I'm sure there might be other Q&A questions that be my main questions who are you going to use as a staff and what schemes are going to be run and are they going to fit our current situation here in Dallas the one that can answer that question the most and has the best staff that's the one I'm choosing.. Remember, I think Monday Leslie Frazier supposed to come in ,and I know some of these guys are also talking to might end up being thought of for other positions as well so you get to interview a guy and then keep that in mind if you don't hire him as a head coach he could be hired on the staff in some other capacity so hopefully they're getting multitasking out of these interviews..

Hell if none of this feels right to Jerry I hope he has Pete Carroll's number or has talked to him on the phone already because that would be my fault he'd be a great fit here's nothing wrong for this current short window open for the veterans we have on this team this might be the best option..

I would much rather have Kliff than KM. I know both really well being a Tech fan. Kliff is certainly better with QB’s. He actually loves to run the ball. He learned that when he played for Bill at NE.

Pete Carrol , Gruden, BB would be temporary band aids. They would mask a lot . They would also temporarily fix the culture. We need something longer term. This means the team needs an enema. From the front office way of thinking down to the staff, players. We need a rebuild. Not a hard one but a deep change. I think this was known to Jerry a year ago which was why no one was signed passed this year. Whomever we hire, we need to be patient.

Curious about this I was thinking about this this morning I know how it works with players when they get cut and still have money owed they get picked up by another team whatever their salary is with the new team gets taken away from the responsibility of the team they left...

You know kind of like when people get divorced and they're paying alimony but if the other person gets married the alimony can stop I'm wondering how that works with the coaches I mean did The Jets get taken off the hook for the difference in whatever he gets paid elsewhere or they just on the hook for that money. I wonder if anybody knows for a fact not an opinion on how this works in the NFL....

But that is a good point Jerry would love that guy wants to take 5 million or somewhere in that neighborhood maybe a little bit more because he's already getting paid elsewhere but i figured there might be rules against that so you can't double dip...
If a coach get hired by a new team. The old team does not pay his salary that is owed to him. If that new salary is higher.
If the new salary is lower, then the old team pays the difference until that amount is resolved.
They can't double dip.

Zimmer would be the reluctant guy at DC that really would rather be at home with his wife and grandkids, horses etc. We really don't need a mercenary. We need a willing tone setter at DC. The guy has to be all in ,locked in.

I'm not overly keen to hiring a defensive-minded HC, but if one were to be hired, Saleh might fit the bill.

Potentially, it might work, if he had a successful OC with experience. Someone other than KM, please.

i'm not gonna hold it against him because he got knifed in the back by aaron the ripper.
nobody has won with the jets since weeb eubank.
i'd take saleh here over kmoore in a heart beat.
if this is a veiled interview for dc...he'll just go back to san fran.
i dont think it is.
its for the hc spot.
i wouldn't hate it...aaron glenn is my first choice...but i'd be happy with saleh.

Sure would be nice if they would interview Pete Carrol.

Jerry couldn’t afford to venture into Wright/Leaf/Stoerner territory at this point in time.

It would have a negative effect on his Netflix career.

So you’ll get your 7-9 wins and like it.
Yes, sir, thank you, sir. May I also have some "honest interest" sir?

Rex Ryan went to few AFCCG so not too long ago bt io do get and agree with your point. Outside of Cleveland, its the next team you think of when players and coaches go to die, followed close by Jags and raiders...
