Well right, but considering that may not have been the best staffs opinion to rely on...here we go.
For being not very good, we sure do have a numbers problem at a few spots.....which will probably result in the throwaway of 4th and 5th round picks from last year (and why switching schemes constantly is a problem IMO).
We are clearly valuing what Quinn wants in personnel acquisition, and I hope he isnt gone in a year or two and we need to start all over again for the next guys preferences.
Too much of that in Dallas....even under Garrett.
Of course if we never get to see whether or not they can play it could just mean they didn't show the coaches enough to get that chance. I'm not saying that's the case with these guys - I don't have any way to know - but we have to remember fans aren't guaranteed to get to see what a player can do, and players don't automatically have a right to get on the field on game days. A lot of players come and go within a year or two that never get a chance to be much or anything more than a special teams player.I think he will end up like Bradley Anae and be gone before we ever get to see whether or not they can play.
I hope he’s as screwed up as Charlie Waters was....QB to WR to FS to CB to All-pro SS.they have screwed this kid up.
This is good news and could turn around his career here in Dallas. Quinn’s scheme is more simplified for corners.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.Seems it's actually bad news for Robinson where at safety, he'd have the better chance of beating out a Kearse, Thompson or a Israel for the last 4th safety role,
vs what numbers game he's at the competiting with Wright, Brown, Lewis (should he remain as a CB) and Goodwin who is the teams best specialist cover guy.
Dude's head has to be spinning with moving back and forth in positions at the NFL level.

They always can open up a spot and deal Brown, it would create space and more cap room.Well right, but considering that may not have been the best staffs opinion to rely on...here we go.

In my opinion, Brown or Lewis are just stop gaps, if Robinson shows something they can also find a way to keep him on the roster.I think he’ll be ‘out’ before he was ever ‘in’.
I wouldn't say that.
People say that about Byron....but at the end of the day when they drafted Byron he was raw......and by the time he was done here he was one of the better corners in the league. Who's to say that position switch and journey he went on didn't help him?
Yeah I have to disagree with that. I just don't think there's anything out there to say he was negatively effected by the position switch.Yeah, he was good by the time he left, but he'd probably have been a lot better if they had put him at and kept him at CB from day one. It seriously delayed his development. I don't know if it's the coaches, the Jones, or analytics that tell them to try to convert CB's to safety, but it doesn't seem to be working all that great.

If they show enough, they’ll get their chance. That’s what OTAs and camp is for. Let’s face it, coaches want to keep the best players. I don’t think they care how or when they got them.I completely agree. The downside to all of these positive changes we’re reading about. Guys like Anae and Robison that were 4th and 5th round picks last year are likely getting cut before they ever see the field as Cowboys.
