It's in the article, he can reschedule and restart the game or continue the game from the point of the questionable outcome.

If a commissioner-led investigation into official Brad Allen’s call reveals it was “extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics” and has “a major effect on the result of the game,” Roger Goodell can take action that includes “the reversal of a game’s result or the rescheduling of a game, either from the beginning or from the point at which the extraordinary act occurred.”
you guys are nuts. Remember the pass interference call in the playoffs a few years ago that wasnt called? Enough said.

You can’t do it.

Even if the lions get it. Cowboys had 23 seconds, 2 timeouts and a kicker with a booming leg who hasn’t missed a FG yet.

The game wasn’t over even if the lions did get the 2 points.
1 timeout. Coach ******* called one on the first try

Why don't we just pick up the game ONE PLAY before the horribly wrong Hendershot tripping penalty. Lets start there. Then Dallas could run a play without any BS and then just run out the clock. Game over, Dallas wins anyway.

To those who are old enough, remember 12 men on the field against the Lions? I think it was 1981 or so. They kicked a last second field goal with an extra man on the field. The league admitted the error, but did not change the outcome. I was at the Silverdome that day. Cowboys fans were livid. Then commissioner Pete Rozelle laughed about it and said "whatever it takes" or something like that. 40+ years later, the league had better take the same stance.
Wow. I remember that too !! They actually had a black and white snapshot in the paper with the 12 Lion players numbered. Everyone got a good laugh about it in the league office. They didn't do a darn thing about it.

This authority that the NFL commissioner holds first came to my attention in the infamous Saints playoff game PI non call.
I wasn't aware of it then but after finding out, I thought it should have been used in real time to correct the most blatantly obvious officiating error in my NFL watching life time.

So that's pretty much my reference point on this matter.
And it wasn't used then.
So in my eyes, the Saints are still "owed one."

my advice...STOP WATCHING ALL MSM. Its toxic and most of it isn't based in truth, facts. Especially MSNBC. BTW, the refs got the call right. John Parry, the booth ref working for fox or abc that night, was right...even IF the ref messed up that call...they then would have flagged the illegal formation!! Making all this talk a moot point. The Dallas hatred is palpable.

This would never be considered especially for this type of thing for 2 reasons.

1. Would be an awful precedent one that they’re not gonna set.

2. Especially not gonna set that precedent for a game where Lions still had a chance to either kick the extra point or score another 2pt conversion from 7 and then 3 yard line. Plus 23 seconds left onside kick opportunity. Would never happen.

Wouldn't have come to that if they called the tripping correctly
after you guys pointing that call out, I agree. Horrible missed call. They should be reprimanded. Media omits this btw. They actually hate us fans and the team. Its real. I think its a hatred of Jerry Jones more than anything, because he luvs him some HIM. I think thats where the crux of the spite comes from.

Man…everyone knows the refs screwed the Lions.

They did the same thing to us with Dez.

Just because I love Dallas doesn’t mean I have to pretend.

The whole plays turns out differently if Dallas is told 68 is eligible instead of 70, they had no reason to cover 68.
